"Peter Parkinson is Awesome!!! When I contacted Home Advisor looking for an inside painter, he called me within the hour. Within a week he came over and started painting. He did a beautiful job. He was very friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable leaving my house for a couple of hours and my 2 pugs loved him. He has since done another project which turned out great. His prices are very fair and I highly recommend him!!"

"How did it go? AMAZING. The roofing team arrived at 6:45,and were finished by 11;45 am. Laid down protective tarps and left my property clean as a whistle. A very respectful work crew who obviously got along well together. I am so happy with their work. A+ to SNOW COUNTRY ROOFING. Sending thanks and gratitude,Deborah OB"

"These guys are tops! Rick returned my call promptly, and they were able to fit me in between jobs within 2 days. They showed up on time, were professional, safe and explained my options if I wanted to make an insurance claim. They even took the time to properly nail down other rows of shingles that were not nailed correctly to begin with, most likely causing the shingle damage. I highly recommend, and will have Rick1, Rick2 and Ed back in the Spring for a painting estimate and to evaluate the roof condition at that time."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Some commercial services use sand when clearing ice, but that’s to add instant traction, not to melt the ice. While you can scatter kitty litter, sand, or similar substances on steps, paths, or porches to improve safety during icy conditions, they won’t help melt hardened ice. Rely on salt or other de-icing methods to fully melt away stubborn ice.

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

Yes, snow should be removed from a deck to protect it from damage caused by moisture and heavy loads. Shovel the snow off of your deck regularly once it is more than four inches deep. Avoid using salt, which can damage your deck.

Yes, many companies offer convenient options to accommodate service timing needs.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams, but the best thing to do is address insulation issues in your attic. If you do decide to remove the snow manually, you should always use a roof rake rather than a shovel. You shouldn’t climb your snowy roof in any circumstance, and roof rake allows you to remove the snow from the ground or a ladder. For the best results, remove snow as soon as possible after it falls.
