"They came on a Thursday after we reported gurgling sounds around the house and backup in the shower and run-off in the basement.  They came and rooted out the line from the basement to the county line (75 ft).  Then inspected the results with a scope (another $100 on the bill which was now $400 or so).  The line was still holding water because tree roots had infiltrated so widely.  They suggested replacing the line (for $2800.00).  I said could they do it for $2500?  They said -- "we'll waive today's $400 and we'll come back on Monday and replace it for $2600.00".  Which is exactly what they did.  Courteous, efficient (they were done by 2:30PM) -- but I'm still getting over the cost of it all ..."
