"Greg was excellent in every aspect of the job. He told me up front what could be expected as he inspected the chimney and how much each iteration would cost if there was damage. He inspected the chimney top-to-bottom, took photos and clearly showed me what was wrong, how he would correct it, and the cost. He swept the chimney to remove creosote and ash and I readily agreed the evidence was there, so he proceeded to effect the repairs he suggested. "DIY installation of door sensors did not go per plan in my case.
I had crown molding and getting the alignment correct was proving to be difficult. Doing a recessed door sensor was something that was out of my DIY scope and i decided to get a professional install through a different provider.
I found this to be the best deal to buy Qolsys equipment, however I do wish the monitoring costs were more reasonable.
Cannot complain about customer service, it had been stellar and outstanding. Would definitely recommend , if you are ok with higher monitoring costs for great equipment and outstanding service.

As promised, Carmine called when he was 45 minutes away from our house so I had plenty of time to leave work and meet him.  He was friendly and extremely professional, even asking my permission before entering the house. He even asked me if he could call me "Steve", or would I prefer Mr. Carr. He and his worker Bill were clean and dressed nicely. They spread a blanket in front of the fireplace and cleaned up when they finished. They noticed a water stain on our living room ceiling and offered to check the flashing on the roof. They found a three inch hole and fixed it immediately, provided us with a 7 year warranty. Colonial was half the price of the other Chimney sweeps on Angie's List and it's hard for me to imagine anyone providing better service.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
