"While the cleaning of the gutters was well done, the downspouts were not done. This was our main reason for contracting with Clean Co. We called to have them come out to discuss issues & Alex did come and meet with us. However, they were to be here this morning to clean out the downspouts; have not shown up—no phone call from them & no response to message left. UPDATE: Service technician did show up albeit 2 hours later and without notification. (therefore the previous review). He once again jetted water through downspouts and did as much as equipment permitted. The owner has checked back to see if we are satisfied and to request an updated review. We have no qualms at all with the pricing or the cleaning of the gutters."

"Wonderfully. The equipment used was of high residential quality, especially the machine for cleaning the sidewalks. I had previously used a personal pressure washer to clean a few years ago, and what took me 6 hours to do, Keith finished in about 2."

"Getting in touch with this guy is practically impossible.  You can leave message after message and they never contact you back.  I've talked with several other people who have used them in the past and they all have the same comment.  If you are indeed lucky enough to get scheduled with them, Daniel works hard when he's on site.  He underestimated how much time would be required to complete all the quoted work and he asked to come back the next day to finish cleaning the gutters.  We agreed to it.  The next day someone showed up and cleaned the gutters on our home.  What we didn't realize, because we were gone for a few hours, is that they never cleaned the gutters on our detached garage.  Because of the height of the gutters on the garage, there's no real way to inspect the work.  In the weeks following we had intense rain and it wasn't until this time that I realized that the gutters were still backed up.Multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) calls to the phone number for this company have gone unanswered.  At this point all I want is for them to finish what they started.  The owner of the company stood there in my driveway and spend a good 10-15 minutes telling me how proud he was that he ran a good company where he treated everyone well and fairly.  I'm sorry, but at this point I feel all that was nothing more than just theatrics.   "

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Some elevated decks require stairs that lead to the ground level per the local fire codes in some municipalities. In other regions, a staircase is an optional feature that can increase accessibility and convenience for homeowners who want ground-level access to their deck. Additionally, a staircase is necessary if your home doesn't have an existing door leading to the deck.

In the majority of cases, you don’t need regulatory permission or permits to remove decking components and materials. However, the exception is if you live in or near a wildlife conservation area, which could require permits and consent prior to beginning the demolition. Check with a local regulatory agency for more information.

Yes, adding railing to a deck is a great way to improve safety and your home’s aesthetic appeal. Railings can be constructed from wood, metal, or composite, and there are plenty of choices regarding design and style. Always consult local building codes before starting any building project—there are often requirements regarding spacing and height that can differ slightly from place to place.

Yes, you can attach a deck to a mobile home, but it’s important that the work be done correctly to avoid the potential for major damage to your home. Many building codes require that any additions to mobile homes—including decks—be either freestanding or have their own support structures. Getting permits may require submitting the home's original floor plan, the proposed floor plan, framing details, and more.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
