It went even better than we hoped, and we had high expectations! We ended up netting nearly double our projected estimate because of the lengths they went to in photographing, displaying and promoting the items via a variety of channels. They then negotiated the final sale to a private buyer. We didn't have to lift a finger. At the end, we got a sizeable check.

Went well, job was complicated but Four Sales handled it well, as they always do, my client was happy. Truthfully I was just estimating the cost above because I am not sure what my client actually paid for the job.

Daniel Sanders answered my call. He was friendly, helpful and professional. He said that Westminster is at the edge of their service area -- they could go there, but it's so far that it would not be cost effective for them or for me. He suggested I find a company closer to Westminster, and offered to be a back-up if needed. I asked him about the value of Collector Plates, and he gave me helpful information.

Outstanding sale in all regards from what I observed. Over the past 40-plus years I've attended many hundreds of estate sales, yet this truly was one of the very best run and most interesting. As a Howard County resident, I was never fortunate enough to have been at a Four Sales Ltd. event before, given perhaps that much of its sale activity is in Northern Virginia. My first good impression came from its sale listing on estatesales.net, which presented a concise narrative of the sorts of fare available, and pictures that clearly showed - - in focus and at appropriate distances - - what was on hand. From the start the sales team was low-key and personable, not control freaks. The leader graciously accepted the temporary entry number progression set up by early arrivals. Most prices were set at reasonable levels set to empty the house, not ridiculously high ones aimed at making a killing. Staff never hovered over browsers, yet were receptive to question and assistance requests. One staffer demonstrated her integrity and caring by climbing three flights of stairs to return a sum of money that had fallen out of my pocket in the basement. And although it was not expected, plus above the call, different staffers on two separate days agreed to help carry an extremely heavy oak cabinet outside and down the stairs to the sidewalk. All in all, a wonderful experience!

The pick-up of items for auction went professionally and efficiently. The crew was great. Would definitely work with them again. Daniel was very involved in setting up my service and making sure that everything met with my satisfaction.

I chose Four Sales, based on the professionalism of the website and the corporate background of the president. I found the staff equally professional. We learn more about people and organizations when problems occur than when everything goes perfectly. The sale date needed to be changed. No problem. At the end one large item needed to be disassembled. The president during a weekend used his contacts to bring in a company to do the job. Displays were attractive. Total sales and costs were as estimated. No damage to house, which is remarkable considering many people attended the sale and large furniture was carried through hallways. What remained unsold was quickly on a truck headed for donation to charities. House was clean for buyers to move in. Staff think about what they are doing, and brought items to my attention that they thought I would want to keep. I recommend Four Sales to anyone contemplating downsizing. They will explain your options and tell you what to expect.

First they gave us an assessment of whether there were enough items to make consignment/auction worthwhile. They decided that there was enough to take that step. They then asked the family to remove any items we wanted to keep or personal items (papers to be shredded, filed, etc.). They then came in and removed all items for auction. Scheduled a second truck for items for donation. And then a third for trash. They left the apartment cleared and ready for the contractors to prep it for market. They made what could have been a very challenging task if we had tried to do it ourselves painless.

Mark and his team came to price all items 5 days before the sale. They were on time and efficient in doing the pricing. The sale started on Friday and continued through Sunday. Mark and his team were very well organized and efficient under a lot of pressure. It was amazing to witness. On Sunday, A load was organized to charity and the remainder went to trash. The house was swept clean. I was glad I had a professional estate agent and was very happy with FourSales, especially Mark. He was an excellent communicator.

Daniel answered the phone when I called and was very professional. He gave me detailed information on the process and options. I have a much better understanding of what is possible and realistic in terms of selling versus donating items in my home. He requested that I send him photos of the items that I hope to sell and he will give me an assessment at that point.

We are downsizing to a smaller home for retirement. We contacted Four Sales for a recommendation on what we could do with the items we didn't want to move. They were able to assist us in arranging for disposing of our items to a charity offering and were able to move all the items quickly and efficiently. We referred our realtor to Four Sales to assist other clients with the same scenario we were facing.

This service turned what looked like a formidable task into a breeze. When my mother passed away leaving behind a large home filled with old furnishings, as well as junk she couldn't part with, I had no idea how many months it would take me to clear it out. I had no idea what in the world I would do with it all! I found Four Sales in and internet search. The owner, Daniel, stopped by the house one day when I was slowly, painfully clearing out cabinets. He walked through and in 30 minutes determined that his team could come in and clear the whole place out in a couple of days. And even make a little money on some of it at auction, as well as donate some of as a tax write off. He and his team figured it all out. All I had to do was remove from the house what I wanted to keep (mostly photos), and they handled the rest. I am not sure I could put a price on what they did for me. Amazing. If you ever find yourself in a position of having to clear out an old house and it seems overwhelming, call Four Sales!

Betsy and Mark were exceptionally helpful and a real pleasure to work with. Following our purchase of the vehicle, Betsy went above and beyond expectations by phoning us later to let us know that they had found an additional accessory for the vehicle and offering to hold it for us until we could pick it up, and Daniel promptly helped with details to ensure a smooth transfer of the vehicle title. We have visited several of the Four Sales estate sales events in the past, and we are continually impressed by the Four Sales staff's organizational skills, as well as the polite and cheerful manner in which they deal with customers.

Daniel Sanders and his crew were professional, prompt, and courteous. They were efficient with their hauling, and Daniel Sanders provided good communication along the way. From the proceeds of the auction sale, I got a settlement check much earlier and far higher than I expected. My brother and I were very pleased.

We contacted Daniel when we had a contract to sell our home in Alexandria, VA. The timeframe was short because the new owners needed to close in less than two months. Daniel took a look at the items at our home and sent us a contract which provided for a sale on a mutually acceptable date. His assistants priced all items and organized the house for the sale. They advertised the sale on their web site, and provided street signs for the two and one-half day sale. Most items were sold in the first two day. Daniel responded promptly to our questions. He kept a record of all items sold, and provided an accounting as soon as checks cleared. Four Sales was very professional. They removed all trash and took unsold items to charities. Our home was left in excellent condition following the sale.

Daniel Sanders and Howard Deiner were our primary contacts. Both were very knowledgeable, responsive, and they and their staff were professional and efficient at all times, and followed through on all their commitments. We were very pleased with the results of the sale, which were greater than the Four Sales estimate. I highly recommend Four Sales.

I had to place my mother in assisted living and take care of emptying and selling her home. I interviewed with a couple of estate sale companies and chose Four Sales after speaking with Daniel. The whole process was extremely emotional for me, but Daniel and Howard were so helpful in getting me through the whole process. Daniel was very compassionate and professional during our interview, and I had complete confidence he could handle the overwhelming situation. Howard was in charge of the actual sale for 2 1/2 days and was wonderful. The employees at the sale were all terrific and took care of everything. After the sale, the entire house was emptied and what was left was taken to a donation site or dump, so I didn't have to do a thing. The proceeds of the sale were even better than expected. I can't say enough good things about this company and would highly recommend them.

I spoke with Mr. Sanders (who very promptly returned my original call), and he was extremely candid, helpful, and responsive in answering my questions and providing options that might meet my needs. While I'm now doubtful that my situation is appropriate for an estate sale, should we decide to move forward with that or any of the other options he provided, we would definitely be back in touch with him.

I called and booked an appt. the next day, which was great because I was rushed to have the apartment cleared. Four Sale Ltd was professional, thorough, efficient, friendly, and courteous during the entire procedure.

Four Sales visited us, inspected the work to be done and gave us pricing they honored. Removal of the items from upstairs, downstairs, basement and garage was done in one day, efficiently and with no damage at all to house or items. We received detailed documentation of the auction results and donated goods. Our check for the auction proceeds was sent promptly. Efficient, cost effective and professional. All the work done as promised. We very highly recommend this vendor and would use them again in a heartbeat. First rate.

Did not end up using him for more than a few items, not very friendly. Real estate agent who had recommended him said "Yes, other people have complained about him before, he can be kind of abrasive, we are looking for someone else to recommend".

I had a number of fine art limited addition prints that I wanted to sell. Four Sales advised me to wait until the perfect auction was to take place where I would maximize my return. They handled all details and made the transaction as easy as possible while keeping me abreast of all details. I just received my check from the sold items and I am very happy with the results. I would definitely hire them to do this type of transaction for me again in the future!

My husband and I were moving across the country and wanted to downsize our belongings before doing so - about 70% of our original household/furnishings. We had thought about managing a moving sale on our own, but decided against it since the stress of relocating across country was more than enough. Daniel and his team were very professional and easy to work with leading up to, the days of the sale and post-sale. We were actually leaving the house on the first day of set-up and they were able to work around us while they were setting up. They were very thorough and methodical in their set-up and we were surprised at how quickly they organized the entire house. They kept me apprised of the progress by sending me daily emails during the sale. And best of all, not only did the sales total exceed our expectations, they were able to conduct the settlement before the estimated deadline! Four Sales definitely fulfills a much needed service in the marketplace for families and empty nesters wanting to downsize their belongings.
