An unexpected passing of my relative created an estate sale need. I checked some sources and spoke to other providers and settled on Four Sales. Daniel Sanders, the owner, explained the process to me and sent over an individual to review the estate items prior to engaging any services. The cost of $500 is for a mover and helpers to come over and pick up the various pieces for sale. This individual and his helpers were very professional. They even took away some items that were not suitable for sale (non antique chair and some other broken items) since he knew we needed to vacate the location and that these pieces would be difficult to move. Four Sales receives and auctions the items, holding back 40% in commission which seems to be about standard for these sales. We received a certified letter with the sales proceeds, net of fee, 3 weeks later. The entire operation was smooth and professionally managed by Four Sales. Under the difficult circumstances tied to the passing of someone close, they made what could be a messy and emotional activity relatively painless. I would recommend them to anyone interested in similar services.

I had called a number of auction houses in the Washington, DC area and got no reply from all but Four Sales. Daniel contacted me and was very positive. He came out to my house, looked over all the items and advised me on which ones would sell and which ones may or may not sell and which ones would not sell. He was very, very truthful and honest. Most of use thing that our items are worth a lot, but Daniel reminded me that he sells things via auction and some time things just don't sell. You need re realize this and Daniel did not lead me on. He took what he though would sell and did his best. While I would love to have made a few more bucks, I am very pleased with the final outcome. Not only did he sell my items, but I no long have to deal with them. I would use their services again.

Daniel responded promptly to every question and concern. His people showed up on time as promised and did everything they said they would. Four Sales is very good at what they do. They are not cheap, however. Be prepared to pay commission on the things that sell and additional charges on all the hauling.

I highly recommend Four Sales, Ltd. as the all-in-one professional company that can most efficiently and effectively liquidate for a profit, and provide to charity, the contents of any size home.

Mr Sanders and his team did a great job. My recent move was painless because of their professionalism. The team was on time and took great care to protect my home and the items being moved from damage. They managed to clear everything out in a few hours. I lived in an old townhouse with narrow stairwells so this was not an easy job. The cost was quite low as Mr. Sanders is supportive of Military families. I have recommended Four Sale to a number of colleagues.

Four Sales did a very thorough and professional job of inventory and appriasal of all home items, especially the antiques and jewelry, for our client that we referred.

I called a number of auction houses and Daniel Sanders from Four Sales was the nicest on the phone and the one with the strong interest. He set a date, arrived when he said he would and we walked through the items. There were a number of items that he suggested that would not sell and we agreed that I would not send them. There were a number of items that if was not sure of, but I agreed to let him take them and try to sell them. If they did not sell, he would donate them. The true worth of his services will come within 30 to 60 days when he sells the items at auction. Only then will I really know if his services were as great as he said they were. I will return to this site once we have sold most of the items to geive you an update.

My husband and I downsized but did not move. We chose Four Sales because we sensed a good fit and because Four Sales offered a variety of approaches for selling our antiques. We decided to send our inventory to Four Sales' auction partner in Madison, Virginia. We visited the site, found it clean and well organized, and liked the auctioneer. In fact, the auctioneer personally oversaw the packing and transport of our items. All that was left to do was wait. Within 90 days we received a much larger check than we had expected. We will definitely use Four Sales again.
