Boasting 35 years of top-quality service, YES Home Services provides service maintenance, repair and installation. We fix air conditioning, plumbing, heating, & electrical malfunctions for residential & small commercial clients along the Wasatch Front. We serve Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, Summit and Utah Counites. 24/hr emergency services.

"YES HVAC scammed me out of $2,500. When I had my furnace & air conditioner replaced last year, YES failed to mention that Carrier (both my heater & AC were Carrier brands) was running a promotion that if you replaced both a furnace & an AC system with Carrier products, they would give you a cash rebate of $2,500. YES HVAC simply did not inform me of the company rebate program; instead, they just took the money from me without my knowledge. I eventually found out about the rebate later when I replaced the second full system in our house. Obviously I went with another more transparent/honest company the second go around. When I discussed the situation with YES management (even providing them with the written proof from Carrier Company of the rebate program), I still have heard nothing further from YES. My suggestion is to go with the competition rather than YES HVAC; it cost me a $2,500 rebate, what will they scam you out of?"

We value our clientele and are committed to making sure our professional electrician team always delivers superior work. Because of this, a good portion of our business comes from return customers.. Not only does JP Electrical provide high-quality lighting installation and maintenance on homes, but we also do industrial, commercial, and new-build work. Our team of skilled and efficient contractors are highly trained, having a wide breadth of experience that allows them to handle projects of all sizes—from small rewiring jobs or lighting repairs to new home or business installations.

"DO NOT USE. They gave us a deal on a 10,000 job of 300 for all of the issues below what a TERRIBLE COMPANY! Ask us for many other professional contacts out there. We had them do a bunch of work. We had JP change out a bunch of outlets, upgrade and move our electrical panel, run wires for new lighting, run a new power line to a detached garage, and upgrade some wall outlets for new appliances. Price wise they were above average which I generally do becasue I don't want to have to babysit or double check everything. The city came out and inspected and it did not pass. You think they would come out and right their mistake…. NO WAY, after begging and calling countless time though we had paid to no avail they did not show up. They do NOT follow code or pull the correct permits for work done. Do NOT pay this group until you have an inspection done from their work and at that point so many more out there who care about their customers than this group. We can not get anyone into this property because of their NEGLIGENCE on workmanship. For some reason JP didn't want to do any work until RMP was done. It took them 3-4 days of labor to check all the line items and so the delayed other work being done because for some reason they diddn't want to work before the line was upgraded..... made no sense to me. They could have done all the work but the panel upgrade. Next they didn't pull permitting for their work. So on the day RMP shows up, they are also there and so is the city inspector and he slaps a stop work order on the house because electrial permitting wasn't pulled. I had to go pull permits. So they finish their work permit is pulled all is kosher EXCEPT they didn't put the power line to the garage high enough so it wasn't UP TO CODE! Inspector flagged it. It took JP over a month to get back out to fix that power line. Basically my partner wrote a bad review and then someone finally called me this morning and go figure they had time TODAY to get it done. Between my partner, GC and myself we called or text them (office, techs, any number we could find) at least 25 times and only got their attention with a bad review. So if you use them start off by posting a bad review then maybe someone will get back to you!"

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

You can determine what size generator you need for a transfer switch by matching the switch to the largest outlet on your generator. Larger generators can power up to 10 circuits, while most 5,000-watt generators can provide power to six circuits. So, if your generator’s largest outlet is 30 amps, you’ll need a 30-amp transfer switch.

You can determine what size generator you need by listing the various appliances it will power during an outage. Write down the start-up watt usage, and then add them all together.

A 7,500-watt generator will run your refrigerator, freezer, well pump, and lighting circuits without a problem. However, you’ll need an extra 3,000 to 4,500 watts to run your water heater and another 5,000 to 25,000 watts to run your electric furnace. In these instances, a whole-home generator is your best bet for running your critical equipment.

Generators are usually sized by running watts and starting watts. Ideally, you’ll want a generator that can offer both the necessary running watts and starting watts for everything you need to power without going beyond 90% of its capacity. Calculate your home’s electrical load based on the breakers in your home or adding up the appliance and lighting needs of connected rooms.

To reduce AC startup power for a whole-house generator, install a soft start kit or hard start capacitor, which lowers the initial surge by gradually ramping up the compressor. Using a smart load manager can also help by staggering startup loads, preventing a system overload and future costly repairs.

While natural gas generators are costly, they’re a great option for standby power due to the reliability of natural gas as a fuel source. Unlike other fuels, natural gas is delivered through underground pipes, making outages extremely rare and less likely to be affected by the elements. As long as the area isn’t prone to earthquakes, they offer an unlimited supply of natural gas that doesn’t degrade over time or require storage in tanks.
