"Jason did a great job for us. We purchased a cabin in the Unitas that needed work to the back half of the cabin..the previous owners added to the cabin but did nothing protect the wood. As a result the buffalo siding was dry, seriously warped & missing ant corner protection. Additionally the facia & soffit on the front half of the cabin needed serious attention. Jason looked at the work needed, provided a quote & time frame. He completed the work on time & on budget. We will us him again up in the future."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

What got me started in business?\nIt all started when I taught myself to fix my own car. I was high on the feelings of independence, pride, and self reliance and It sprung my curiosity and broaden my horizon. This burning desire gave me my thirst for knowledge. I went to the DATC studied CNC Machining. learning about tools, materials, blueprint reading. It assisted me in my adventure. Friends got me jobs tiling, business remodels, painting, and carpentry. Soon after I began working as a machine operator and continued to expand my knowledge in auto mechanics in my free time. My dear friend, who is the general contractor, had me working on his car. They saw my determination to succeed, my motivation to fix problems as they arise and my drive and began teaching me how to remodel homes and thus began my career. \n\nI would love to hear of any upcoming projects your company has. Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of a barn is typically 40 to 60 years, but with skillful construction and proper maintenance, it can last up to 100 years. The actual lifespan depends on several factors, including the barn type, materials, usage, and climate. For example, the posts of a pole barn should last 50 years or longer, but if the structure is used for livestock in a rainy climate, it may rot within the first decade. Custom designs with high-end materials tend to last the longest. To get the best estimate for your barn's lifespan, you should consider its material type and intended use.

While building a treehouse isn’t necessarily a death sentence, damaging the trunk is one of the ways to kill a tree. If you’re concerned about the tree, opt for a treehouse support system rather than attaching it directly to the trunk. This may involve using bolts and brackets to affix the structure to the tree's branches or establishing a standalone support system that remains unattached to the tree.

Yes, barn doors can be too heavy, although the limitation is usually imposed by the mounting hardware you buy and not your home’s framing, unless you’re building an unusually wide door. To keep the weight down, you can opt for 1-by material rather than 2-by material, and choose a softwood like pine rather than a hardwood like maple or oak. Check the weight limits on your mounting hardware, and always attach your door track to studs rather than to drywall anchors.

Depending on your needs, you may find a storebought pole barn is a much less expensive option than a custom-built one. You can find pole barn kits from big box retailers starting at $11,000, but you will be limited when it comes to size and add-on features. As long as you have the necessary skills, you can save on labor costs by doing it yourself; but there are a lot of different skill sets you would need, and mistakes during the building process can lead to excessive repair bills later.

The best lumber for building will be the strongest and most eco-friendly wood your budget allows. That being said, Douglas fir, pine, oak, and maple are all common building materials. Contractors will use a strong, inexpensive wood to frame a house or other structure and finer woods like mahogany for detail work.
