"Joseph Donabella was the handyman that came and fixed my front door. I have not been able to use my deadbolt for years. Joe took the door off and refit it properly so I can now use my deadbolt again. My door knob lock was also sticking. After he checked it he said I needed to replace the door knob due to its age and suggested I go to a hardware store so I can get the new knob and get it rekeyed to my current key. He was very pleasant and professional. I would work with him again."

From a horrid start to a surprising finish.

On Jan 02 of this New Year, my mother who is an amputee of her right leg fell ill and was unable to reach the door for the fire department. They understandably broke down her side door to gain access to her. She is thankfully alright now, but her door was a wreck.

I called around to a few places but most only repaired commercial doors. One company recommended a guy named Dale who was with Door Solutions. It was later that I was going through the Angie's List catalog that I saw a coupon for Door Solutions and thought ?great, he must be ok?. I called and spoke to Dale who came out and looked over the damage to her door. I explained to him what had happened and that my mother was on a tight, fixed income. He called shortly after with a quote that seemed very reasonable and stated he could do it within a week, and I agreed. Dale arrived on time and began the work of not only replacing her door but the frame as well. He started at 10AM and finished just before 6PM. As time went on I began to worry that I misunderstood his quote, thinking he meant the door itself was what he quoted and did not include labor. In fact I asked him a few times if I could help as I worried about the time on the job, but he politely declined. I worried I was going to be zapped with the final cost, but was actually stunned to hear he was going to stay to his quote. I gave him a little more than his quote because he not only did a great job, the new door is even better than the damaged one. But he cleaned everything up when finished.

Dale may be slower than others, but the finished job was outstanding and he is d*** well honest. Dale renewed my belief there are still people out there that will stand by what they say and leave the customer very happy!
