"Brandon, Tg,were excellent. They were on time, worked well together, let us give feedback, cleaned up as they went along, made sure we knew what was happening during each step. I could not be happier, our shower was 30+ yrs. Pretty bad shape... I am so excited to have a new shower, that I didn't have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for... Cost was very affordable... The person who came to our house from Bath fitter, was knowledgeable, and product I believe is made in the USA.. Our installers were wonderful... They did such a wonderful job... Thanks Bath Fitter M B"

"I had a wood plank with a drilled hole in it (for electrical wires) that now showed due to moving an island. They found a new wood plank and replace the one with the hole, in addition to sanding, staining, and sealing our floor. They did a beautiful job."

Tub Shower Conversion questions, answered by experts

There are three main types of shower valves: pressure-balancing, thermostatic, and diverter. Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves are both considered mixing valves because they regulate water flow and temperature, but they do so in different ways. A pressure-balancing valve senses changes in water pressure, such as from a flushing toilet, and adjusts the incoming hot and cold water to maintain a consistent temperature; these typically use a single knob. A thermostatic valve uses a thermostat to precisely control the water temperature and requires a separate control to adjust the water volume. A diverter valve directs the flow of water from one fixture to another, such as switching from a tub faucet to a showerhead in a tub-shower combination.

You need mortar or a premanufactured pre-slope product under a shower pan liner. Some shower pans are pre-sloped, but they still need a base underneath them to support the pan’s structure and the weight of the person using the shower. Installing a shower without a pre-slope creates a high risk of pooling water, leaks, and the breakdown of the shower’s support structure.

A shower cabin is a self-contained unit with an enclosure and integrated features, such as showerheads, body jets, seating, and steam functions. A shower enclosure refers solely to the surrounding structure that encloses the shower area, consisting of walls, doors, and a base or tray. While a shower enclosure provides the framework for a showering space, a shower cabin offers a fully equipped, ready-to-use solution with additional features for your showering experience.

You should replace your showerhead if you notice issues like low or inconsistent water pressure, leaks, rust, sediment buildup, or mold. These signs often point to internal problems that cleaning cannot fix and can even pose health risks, particularly in the case of black mold. You can also replace a showerhead at any time for an aesthetic upgrade or to get more features.

A new showerhead offers several benefits. It can improve water pressure while conserving water, save money by stopping leaks, and enhance your bathroom's appearance. It's an easy and affordable way to improve your showering experience. For more functionality, consider models with additional spray settings or a detachable head.

Note that some symptoms may indicate larger problems. For instance, significant sediment buildup could mean you need a water softener, and persistent low water pressure might signal an issue with your water heater.

A shower handle that turns all the way around usually means that the set screw holding the handle on has loosened. Find the screw and tighten it with a screwdriver. If that doesn’t work, replace the shower handle, as an internal component in the old one may have broken, causing the normal valve stop to disengage.
