Raise your cleaning standards. Very attentive to detail, and reliable. My word is my reputation! Will be on time and happy to be there! God bless!

"I hired Felton Cleaning in March 2025 after being paired with Lacey and 4 other Angi-recommended service providers for a whole-home, sale-ready, deep clean. After communicating with 4 of the 5 Pros on cost/length of time/schedule and itemized tasks to be done, I decided to give Felton my business, especially reading the quote on the page “Raise your cleaning standards. Very attentive to detail, and reliable. My word is my reputation! Will be on time and happy to be there! God bless!” Unfortunately, the transaction didn’t go as planned and she did not hold up her end of the transaction nor live up to her word. Upon arrival, she immediately increased the agreed-upon price by $50 before any work was done. Later in the day, she called to tell me her help didn’t show up so she would have to finish on another day. It was during this call she asked me to agree upon an even higher “fair” price. After I did not do that, she told me she had finished cleaning and requested me to pay the 2nd half of our contracted price. After responding that I would do so when I inspected the work, she asked me to wait 4 days before doing so. On that 4th day, she informed me that she would not be returning to finish (because when she told me she had finished, it was a lie) unless I agreed to renegotiate and pay her even MORE money. She ended it by saying that I “was ahead.” The house was only half cleaned. Several bathroom mirrors hadn’t been touched, nor the stove completed. I do not agree that I came out “ahead” considering the delay in this transaction single-handedly delayed putting the house up for sale. If Lacey would have lived up to her word and reputation, she would have honored the transaction even if it wasn’t worth her time. I could only attach 10 photos of how the house was left after Lacey cleaned (the dirty photos) so I only attached the “after” photo of the master shower. There was no need to attach cleaned mirrors and vacuumed/mopped floors that I completed myself. Please do not mistake the clean shower for Lacey's work. Lacey is probably very good at the light, biweekly or monthly touchup cleanings."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Dog scents can linger months, if not years, if you don’t treat the odors at the source. Cleaning carpets to remove odorous pet dander from fibers or disposing of carpets, dog toys, or dog beds that may have urine or other pet smells on them can all help.

To avoid the residue that leaves floors sticky, be sure you use the right amount of cleaning solution. Also note the motion of your mopping to avoid mopping over parts of the floor that you have already cleaned.

Having dust in your home doesn’t automatically make your house unhealthy, but it can contribute to allergies and other respiratory issues. Dust is a mix of tiny particles that include dirt, dead skin cells, dust mite body parts and droppings, animal dander, and pollen, so breathing in excessive amounts isn’t good for your health. Dust accumulation can also accumulate in fabrics, mattresses, and rugs, as well as harm electronic devices if it builds up inside the system.

Use warm water and white vinegar to effectively remove soap scum and mineral deposits from shower door tracks. It’s a good option because it safely breaks down buildup without damage. Avoid bleach and ammonia-based cleaners, especially on metal frames and rubber seals. They can cause corrosion and deterioration over time.

Although there are no set rules for tipping house cleaners, you may want to consider tipping from 15% to 20% of the cost of house cleaning, or up to 25% if you’ve been very happy with the level of service and quality of work. If you’re not sure, it can help to discuss the cleaner’s policy or preference for tipping.
