Small jobs welcome

"Shannon made me feel incredibly comfortable from the moment I met her. It was hard for me to open up and show someone my closet that looked like something you would see on the tv show Hoarders. But she has seen it all before, and was not intimidated in the least by this project. She was prompt, professional, super friendly, and whipped my closet into shape in no time, and now I cannot stop looking at it in awe! This investment was money well worth spent, as it has restored balance in my life and I feel so much lighter. I am hiring Shannon for at least two more projects this Fall (garage and kitchen). Her prices are on par with other professional home organizers, too, if not even a little better. 5/5 experience!"

"Excellent. When I called Linda she was very helpful describing what she could do for me, and addressed all my questions and concerns. She quoted me a fair price for initial cleaning, along with a lower price for regular on-going service. We agreed on a day and time on that first phone call. Linda arrived on time and introduced her daughter Angela who would be working with her. We walked through the house together to point out specific areas of concern to me. Then the two of them jumped right in and got to work. They worked hard and were very thorough, moving things to get behind or under furniture, dusting high up above doors and cleaning off items on my counters. They finished ahead of their estimated 3 hours and packed up promptly. The whole place looks and feels great. No grit on my bare feet walking on the floors, sparkling clean window panels at my doorways, scrubbed and shining bathroom and kitchen. Count me a very happy customer. Thanks Linda and Angela."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Suggesting regular dusting and spot cleaning to maintain freshness.

Yes, a bowl of vinegar can absorb smoke. If you want to use this method to reduce the smoke smell in your house, all you have to do is leave a bowl (or multiple bowls) of white vinegar out overnight. Alternatively, you can use bowls of baking soda, coffee grounds, or activated charcoal.

How often you should clean laminate floors depends on how often people walk on the floors, tracking dirt and grime behind them. Sweep away debris several times each week, and mop and deep clean your laminate floors every two months, increasing these intervals when necessary.

In many cases, professionals can completely remove certain types of smoke damage from walls and ceilings, but it’s only possible if the damage is minor. For more extensive damage from major fires, you’ll likely need to replace the damaged materials entirely. Some items, like upholstered furniture, are much trickier to clean and might need to be replaced even if the smoke damage is minimal.

Virtually any material in your basement can absorb and hold onto musty odors, including building materials like wood framing, insulation, drywall, and flooring, as well as cloth furniture, clothes, area rugs, cardboard boxes in storage, and more. If you’re looking to get rid of the musty smell in your basement, it’s a good idea to remove or replace these items and address the underlying moisture issue for the fastest results.
