"Saw these gentleman working at my neighbor's at the end of my street. I was very impressed with how fast and great their fence was built! I asked my neighbor for their business card and a week later I was having my fence done as well. Mario and Robertos customer service skills are top notch! Very polite and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and seemed like there was nothing that they couldn't do! I had my 190ft fence done in a total of 3 days including two 6ft gates with solar panel kit! Also, the quote they gave me was perfect! They even offered a great payment plan which made me feel comfortable knowing that they weren't trying to take advantage of me like another fence company I previously had that said they do our fence but stole more than $1000 from us! Mario and Roberto a very trustworthy and were great to talk with. My neighbors have already complimented me many times on how great it looks and what a great job Fusion Welding and Fence Service has done! I can't thank them enough! Now I don't have to worry about my dogs or my 4 year old son a getting hurt on the road in front of our home which gives me great piece of mind. I'd recommend Fusion Welding and Fence Services to anyone and look forward to them helping my family with our future projects! Thank you guys again and I really appreciate the great work, professionalism, and your time!"

"After Bryan did my fence, which he did a great job and saved me money, he did over 1500 feet of gravel road. I liked his work so much and his fair price, then he built a 2 story 6000 square foot barn/pickleball facility with HVAC. He was here today (over 8 months after finishing it to fix a leak - barns can leak!) and he is doing it for free because he wants to make it right. He is the best contractor I have ever used - I have had to fire my last one who was building a cabana (who started before I met Bryan). Bryan is honest and fair, and several times he has recommended an idea that saved me money."

Small jobs welcome

"Jacob responded very quickly. I sent photos to him. His quote was 1/3 that of another Angi contractor quote. Once scheduled, he arrived on time and finished the job within a few hours. He explained the work before, during, and upon completion. Excellent work! I hope we don't need future fence repairs or welding but I'll call Jacob at Shepherds Welding if we do."

Welding questions, answered by experts

Cutting round ductwork requires precision and the right tools. A duct cutter, specifically designed for circular ducts, is ideal. First, mark the cutting line on the duct using a measuring tape and pencil. Then, position the duct cutter's blade on the marked line. Apply steady pressure, rotating the cutter around the duct. The sharp blade creates a clean, precise cut. Alternatively, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade can be used for larger round ducts. Ensure the duct is securely held in place while making the cut to prevent slips and maintain accuracy.

Costs depend on unit complexity, labor, wall mounting needs, and additional accessories like floating shelves.

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.

Choosing the right metal fabricator for your project begins with research. Find a reputable fabrication company by searching for reputable contractors in your area, and then reviewing photos of their previous work, customer reviews, and photos of the company’s workshop.

Once you’ve narrowed down the list, contact the companies to ask about the types of metal fabrication projects they specialize and inquire about guarantees and warranties on workmanship. You should also ensure the company uses high-quality material, and ask about the schedule and turnaround time for your proposed project.

Welders use a variety of methods in their trade. Different types of welding are better suited for different purposes and contexts. For example, stick welding is a versatile form suitable for most metals and alloys. The most common types of welding include:

  • Stick welding: $100–$1,000

  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Gas welding: $150 and up

  • Forge welding: $15–$25 per hour
