"It started out good. Talked to Fabian on the phone and via text and had some back and forth, but finally agreed to a price. He said he would come out to meet me and take a look and we'd go from there. I called to follow-up a couple days later as I hadn't heard from him, and he said he had already gone by with his dad and taken a look at the job, and we were good to start. So here's the thing. We have security cameras set up and when I reviewed the footage for the day he said he came by, there was nothing. I checked a day before and a day after and still nothing. But I blew it off and chalked it up to them being busy and maybe mixing up jobs. No biggie. We set a date on a Monday a week out and he said in the following week he'd come by so we could meet before they started the job. The week passed and nothing. On the day before they were to come out I still hadn't heard from them, so called and Fabian confirmed they would be there. Sounded solid. Then came the Monday of the job and Fabian called to say they were having equipment issues and wouldn't make it out. OK. I get that things break down and they called early enough to where it wasn't an issue with losing a whole day waiting around for them. We set another date two days later. Then "poof!" never heard from them again. Fabian never called and did not return my calls or texts. I tried him a week later, but still nothing. I was a little annoyed, but in retrospect, based on their ability to keep their word, I probably dodged a bullet."

Tactical Remodeling company was started by Recently Separated Veterans from the US Armed Forces. We believe that contracting, like any mission, must be precise, efficient and reliable. Our employees arrive on time, meet deadlines, and all work is inspected after completion via a walkthrough with our inspector and the client. We ensure everything is squared away at the time of contract so that there is no communication or room for errors. We provide Free Estimates within Bexar County. All other Surrounding areas are subject to a $50 outside-area estimate fee. This fee must be paid at the time of estimate unless contract is signed at the time of estimate. At time of signed contract we require 50% of the total cost to be paid upfront (cash, check, or credit card). The remaining 50% will be collected at the time of the satisfactory walkthrough. *if check is returned for any reason, we charge a $35 off in addition to any fees incurred as a result and the assignment will be paused until the initial 50% is paid in full via cash*

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
The average cost of mudjacking is around $5 per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8 per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.
In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.
