"Kathryn is a professional! She gave me some great decorating ideas. The quality of the furniture I purchased through her was great. She was very good about keeping in touch concerning the timeline for delivery. She located an excellent cabinet company that designed a great custom made cabinet for me. At Element Haus, design begins with intention. We create spaces that feel as good as they look- timeless, personal and refined.\n\nFounded by a team of architects, designers, and craftsmen who share deep passion for modern living, Element Haus was born out of desire to redefine what “home” means. We saw too many houses that looked impressive but lacked soul; and too many custom builds that compromised on design or build quality. So we set out to do it differently: to fuse architecture, interiors and construction into one seamless experience, where design and build are integrated from start.

Recently relocated to Grayson County. We've been serving Texas and other states for 13 years in building ground up commercial buildings, additions, and renovations. We specialize in structural steel fabrication and erection, custom steel fabrication, gates and entryways. We were designing and building Barndominiums before people knew what they were. We do the job right or not at all. We guarantee our work, and we often takeover failing or abandoned projects and get the project completed. We've built and have tore down and rebuilt many very large churches. We've done a lot of historical renovations and dealt woth the historical regulations, etc. We've done a lot of work at The Grandscape in The Colony Tx. We worked on The Dallas Morning News, The Statler Hotel as well as many other hotels, high end retail and entertainment districts. \n We have worked and a General contractor holding responsibility for a project from conception to planning and development, through completion.

Interior Design and Decorating questions, answered by experts

Typically, general remodeling involves architects, contractors, interior designers, electricians, plumbers, and sometimes structural engineers. Each plays a role in bringing the project from concept to completion.

When you think about Arts and Crafts-style homes, you probably think of a Craftsman house or a bungalow-style Craftsman. Craftsman is one of the major styles developed during the Arts and Crafts movement, but it checks most boxes. Craftsman houses have low-pitched roofs, exposed rafters, open floor plans, and stunning wood finish.

Most interior designers have at least a four-year degree, if not an advanced degree in interior design. Additionally, many states require interior designers to be licensed. If your state does not require licensing, interior designers can take a licensing exam with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Overall, licensing requirements vary from state to state, but most licenses require certain education levels and experience to qualify. To check the qualifications of your interior designer, use Angi’s state licensing tool.

If you need help with your holiday decorating, the first step is determining your lighting and decor needs to narrow down your pro options. For example, if you want a custom outdoor light display with all of the bells and whistles, you’ll likely need to hire a local holiday light installer who specializes in that service. But if you only need to hang some lights inside in hard-to-reach places, consider hiring a handyperson or an interior decorator instead. It’s best to contact at least three different companies for quotes and to find out what services they offer.

The cost to have your house decorated for Christmas depends on the extent of your holiday vision. Interior decorators charge between $50 and $150 per hour on average, so if your decorations are minimal, you could pay as little as $200 for a couple of hours of decorating. Interior decorators might also bill $5 to $12 per square foot, or a flat rate of $500 to $1,300 per room. You can also pay to have your Christmas tree professionally decorated for an average of $200 to $600. Contact a local interior decorator for a specific quote.
