"We hired this professional for ceramic and porcelain tile repair, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Communication was clear and timely, and they showed up exactly when they said they would. The quality of work exceeded our expectations; everything was done with great attention to detail and care. They were respectful of the space, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was clean before leaving. You can tell they take pride in their work. We are very happy with the final result and would absolutely hire them again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable, professional tile work."

"First, I would like to retract my previous review. Robert called me on Sunday, May 17th and asked if I had received his quote. I told him no and confirmed my email address. He then said that since I had not received the quote within 4 days he wanted to do the job for free. He came out on Wednesday, May 20th and began the procedure of cutting down some tree limbs that were over the roof and washing the roof. He returned the next day and applied the first coat. He then returned today, Friday, May 22nd and applied the second coat. Robert is a very professional young man and he is a Christian and that means a lot to me. I would hire him a skinny minute for any job I needed done that I can't do myself. I HIGHLY recommend Robert, All Valley Solutions,!! Thank you Robert and God Bless you and your family."

"Excellent - I ended up hiring someone to help with shopping and finishing piece - waste of time and money. Jill's service was by far the most useful and best value in my decorating process.

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Your floors should be completely level for tile, otherwise you risk damaging the tiles in the future. When there are even small gaps or hills in the subfloor beneath the tile, this puts more pressure on the tile when you walk around on the floor. With repeated traffic, the tiles are at risk of cracking, and you’ll have to deal with tile repairs sooner than if the floor was completely level.

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.

There are several low-maintenance shower floor tiles to consider for your bathroom. Stone tiles are easy to keep clean and only need an occasional resealing to keep them looking their best. Porcelain is another low-maintenance choice, as it doesn’t stain easily. Vinyl is also suitable for easy upkeep. On the other hand, one of the highest maintenance options for bathrooms is wood tile.

There are several tools that you will use together to install tiles. Four of the most basic tools needed in tile installation include a notched trowel for applying tile adhesive, a tile cutter or saw for cutting tiles to size, tile spacers for creating the appropriate amount of space between tiles, and a grout float for applying grout.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.
