"Joshua put in grab bars for our safety in going from house down steps to garage as well as going outside to garden. He understood exactly what we needed and installed it perfectly."

"Dan and Rick were wonderful. They added grab bars to 2 showers and 2 toilets. They added handrails to my steps. They installed a ceiling fan. The work was done fast and well. I have already found another project They will do for me soon. They were honest, knowledgeable and fair in all dealings. You will not be sorry if you choose Dan."

"Josh was extremely professional and kind. He was not only on time but a little early which he texted ahead of time to advise of. He engaged in conversation and was personal yet that never interrupted his working. His diligence on staying on task and completing everything I had for him that day was indeed accomplished ( and it was a list). He put together 2 very large bookcases, hung a bathroom cabinet, and built and assembled an outside storage unit for me. He did a great job; and clean up after himself. That part is rare! I am very satisfied and even grateful to have found a craftsmen such as him. I highly recommend him. I know I will continue to use Josh."

Trampoline Assembly questions, answered by experts

If you want to know from the outset how much you’re likely to pay to install an outdoor basketball court, create a budget breakdown that lists the following expenses:

  • Labor: How many work hours will you need, and what is the average price of labor in your area?

  • Materials: What material do you plan to use, and what is the average price per square foot?

  • Drainage, grading, and laying cement slabs: Do you need to level or prep your area? Have a professional evaluate your property to determine what you will need to pay a contractor to do this work.

  • Hoops, lighting, fencing, painting lines, and other extras: What extras are non-negotiable? Create a list of all of the extras you want your court to have.

It’s usually possible to install a playground yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Playground construction can be complicated and involves moving large, heavy, and bulky components into place while you affix them to other pieces. Not only is the work physically demanding, but any mistakes could reduce the lifespan of your playground and potentially put any children who use the equipment at risk of injury. It’s relatively inexpensive to hire a professional playground installer, and it’s usually worth the investment, if only for the peace of mind it provides.

Whether an in-ground or a portable basketball hoop is better depends on the available space and its usage. For hoops that will experience frequent play, an in-ground basketball goal will be a more durable option. On the other hand, a portable basketball hoop can be the better option for smaller spaces that can’t have a permanent hoop installed.

It may be tempting to DIY the construction of a swing set to save money, but we don’t recommend it. Since children will use the swing set, the entire system must be solid and safe, meaning the cost savings aren’t worth potentially endangering them. Plus, most DIYers will have to build their swing sets out of wood, which won’t last as long as metal or vinyl and introduces the risk of splinters. Instead, hire a local playground equipment installer to ensure the swing set is built safely and efficiently, setting up your kids for fun for years to come.

Generally speaking, building a swing set is cheaper than buying a prefabricated one, but this assumes you have all the tools and knowledge to complete the project. The average cost to build a swing set is $514, but you should also factor in the time and effort it will require—if you don’t want to give up your weekend, it’s worth considering buying instead of building.
