It was a 10 yr old deck that was rotting and deteriorating, and could not stand up to the constant use that came from my family being home all the time. While the deck is a simply a large elevated rectangle, the project had some complexities - with neighbors, fence lines and an elevated air conditioning unit. Charlie incorporated some design changes - suggestions no other contractor came up with - that truly made a difference in the appearance of the deck. He and his crews handling of the air conditioning unit (again, another issue that no other contractor I spoke to knew how to handle) was smart, efficient and never required us to stop using the AC. When I met with contractors on this project, Charlie's quote was not the most expensive, nor was it the cheapest.
