Tech called and said no one at house, and there was no leak. He was at wrong house, and wouldn't come back. Reached...they were 4 hours late and then wanted to charge overtime for services due to being late in the day. Would not recommend!!!

Preventing septic tank problems can help save on overall septic tank repair costs and keep your home running smoothly. To ensure that your tank continues to function correctly, you should:

Have your septic tank system inspected every one to three years.
Have your septic tank pumped every three to five years or as needed based on your usage.
Avoid flushing paper towels, wet wipes, and feminine hygiene products.
Avoid excess water usage at one single time.

Over time, your septic tank can accumulate a buildup of sludge at the bottom of the tank. If left unpumped and uncleaned, the sludge will back up into your pipes and home, causing failure and extensive (and smelly) damage. Repairs to your septic system can be costly, which is why regular maintenance is required. It takes about 30 minutes to pump a septic tank that’s 1,250 gallons or less or 1 hour for larger varieties.

Your sewer line can get grimy quickly. To prevent sludge buildup in your sewer line, pour a mixture of 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda down each drain in your home once a month. After about 30 minutes, flush the drain with hot water.

Some plumbers recommend 3/4 cup of bleach instead to clean any germs and bacteria that may build up in your sewer line. But this won’t break down any active clogs, and it cannot be combined with vinegar, as the mixture will create a toxic, hazardous gas.
