They've saved me some money, they always do good work. They've saved me some money. They're very honest. That's what I like about them. They also provide a loaner car if you need it.

I have used them for maybe 4 years. When you ask for advice, they will tell you without making it sound like you have have to buy something or push something on to you. Another really cool thing is that they are right down at the end of the block from me, so I can drop off my car and walk home. Their not rushed to finish it and they just call me when they are done and I walk back. It works out really well. When I have really big work that needs to be done, I have a pizza or two sent over. They appreciate it. It pays off. It might be $50 off which is what you spend on the pizza, but the good will buys you tons of good will. When you drive in and just need some little thing done, they will do it for you.

A/C was not operating properly and over the past couple years, I've been hearing an annoying noise under the hood. I thought it might be related to the a/c because the noise wasn't quite as much when I shut it off, but who can do that in summer in Houston?!
When Eric called me with the diagnosis, I could tell by his voice I needed to sit down. Yeah, it was a lot, but its an 8 yr old car that's worth tending to, rather than replacing. Cornerstone doesn't force you into anything. They are upfront with all the costs, and you choose what you want done.
I AM THRILLED. My car puuurrs like it was brand new. And that sound I've been hearing all this time? It was deteriorated motor mounts, and Eric said they were in really bad shape.
I've been using Cornerstone for 4-5 years now and I couldn't be happier. I recommend them to everyone.

I found Cornerstone Automotive on Angie's List and was pleased by the courtesy and professionalism I received when I called to inquire about pricing and hours of operation. I also liked that I could get my oil changed and state inspection done at the same place.
This may be a coincidence, but I was relieved to see that two of the three other customers during my time in the waiting room were women. It gave me confidence that the staff wouldn't try to rip me off just because I'm a woman, since other women obviously trusted the place.
When I was giving Rusty my keys, I asked if a tire rotation was included with an oil change. He said it typically was an additional charge but he would do it for free. I appreciated that. Rusty said the wait time would be around an hour, which was reasonable for the things I was having done. I'm glad I had an appointment though and I recommend that other customers make appointments too.
Everything came back fine with my inspection and at the check out, Rusty quoted a lower price than what was given to me over the phone - has that ever happened anywhere? I believe he made an honest mistake when he rang up my card at the non-discounted price, but when I pointed out the error he quickly apologized and refunded the difference to my card.
My first experience at Cornerstone Automotive was pleasant and I recommend it to others.

One complaint about this shop is that they don't work on weekends. I had to have the car towed up there on Friday night but they couldn't look at it until Monday morning and no stop loaner was available until Monday. I call the shop to see why the car was overheating and they couldn't figure out why, but they said it needed a new transmission. They have a very high price to have factory rebuilt transmission compared to rebuilt from other locations in the Houston area. Even had one shop tell me (been doing transmissions for 25 years) that Cornerstone was trying to take advantage of us. In the end they never found out why the car was overheating and we declined to have them do any service. They did however fix radiator cap at no cost and they do have a reasonable assessment charge. Not a bad place but probably won't go back because my new location and I am curious if they really were trying to take advantage.

The vehicle was not overheating when brought to our shop, my technition and myself drove your vehicle for over 60 miles without one incident of overheating. Also as I explained the cost of the factory rebuilt transmission was higher because of quaility, and came with a 3 year 100k warranty compared to a local rebuild that is 1 year 12k warranty in most cases. I would also like to adress the fact you may think we were trying to take advantage of you. After sevaral conversations with you, and personaly driving your car I told you I thought replacing the transmission was not a good idea, and replacing the car would be a better investment for you. We wish you the best."

They were great! They replaced my engine coil and wheel bearing. They found another issue that we weren't aware of. They did all of it in a matter of 6 hours. It was really good. It was the same day service. I was very impressed with their communication and turnaround times. They called us to give us updates as to what was going on. We have had other issues with my car before, but this is the first place that we have found that is really reliable. I was expecting the price to be more.

We like Cornerstone Automotive. They are just easy to deal with. I think that they give a good price. I think they are honest. We have had them do several things for us. They do regular maintenance. They did three major repairs.

Car died, and it would not hold charge. Turns out several fuses were blown due to an improper jump. Had another service tow me in. So basically they ran a diagnostic found out which fuses need tot be repaired and called me with an estimate. All completed in a Friday was driving my car by 4 pm. They were very fast and very economical,not to mention friendly. They also provided ride to work and picked me up when vehicle was ready.

It is so refreshing to walk into a car care knowing the interaction with staff is going to be pleasant and the consultation professional and trustworthy. Rusty and Tony always make the experience such, and I leave confident that my car is in good shape and yet with no more service/expense than necessary. Timely "it's ready" calls and appropriate recommendations are part of the normal experience. In the case of oil changes, Rusty told me of the manufacturer's recommendation, but gave options with a clear indication of the pros/cons. They are not the least expensive shop in town, but with the care of my car and the degree to which I depend upon its integrity, I've learned "you get what you pay for".

I will definetly come back if I have car problems. They did not do any extra work and the final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. Very good punctuality, finished a couple hours ahead of ETA.

We were in the market for a used car and I arranged for them to check out a car with a 'check out for purchase'. It got a clean bill of health and I purchased the car with this being one of the deciding factors. Well, you guessed it. The A/C went out within a few days. $1500.00 later I wondered what it was they checked out. I complained to the manager and basically got a shrug of the shoulder. Not even an apology. Anyway, they may be very good, but we did not have a good experience and I would not recommend. By the way - this was done a few years ago, but I'm on my ipad and can't get the date to change. Sorry if that's confusing!
