recently I brought about 12 pairs of shoes to the store. I was expecting to be welcomed with

gratefulness and helpful customer service, but I did not. On the contrary, I was received

with a cold and aloof attitude from the part of the person at the counter. This young female

showed clear annoyance when she saw the number of shoes I brought into your store to be repaired. I could not believe it!

I said nothing while she kept making faces as she counted the shoes and worked on the claim receipts.

All together I paid close to $200. My boyfriend picked up one pair first (+/- $45) and said that the person in the counter was cold and did not even thank him for the business.

A week later I picked up the rest and was received, once again with an aloof, cold and bad attitude. When the young lady saw the large number of claim tickets in my hand, she made a sound and rolled her eyes.

At this point I said, in a soft manner, that in this economy I would have expected her to be happy to have someone willing to bring so many shoes to be repaired to the store. She rolled her eyes again and said (and I am serious about this!): It is just that it never ends! It too much!

I stood there observing as she kept getting more and more annoyed as she was retrieving my shoes from the wall behind her... she just put them on the counter and expected me to collect them as is! I finally asked for a bag and she hand me two broken plastic bags.

I realized that one pair was not repaired correctly - you did not replaced the heals as requested. She said that this request was not in the claim sheets... no apology or ask if she could do it... just a 'tough luck lady' attitude.

I also noted that the shoes were not clean or the scuffs wiped. She said that they only clean the front of the shoe if they do work on it...

All and all... I have come to this store 3 times.. spent short of $500 in less than 6 months. The customer experience has been poor at best. However, this last time, I truly regret having left you with $200 of my money... they do not appreciate loyal customers.. they do not show they care to have me as a customer. Actually, I guess I should apologize to them, as the person in your store implied... it is my fault that she was annoyed... I am bringing way too much work to their store!

Not to worry - I will be taking my business to another store in Southlake... and hopefully they will greet me with a smile, thank me for my business and appreciate when I bring more that 1 pair of shoes at one time to be repaired.

It takes a while to build a business... but it takes less time to lose it. Their attitude of being 'necessary' is wrong.. and customers will notice. They lost me. Stores should not feel too confident as there is competition out there, and some of them know the value of showing appreciation by actually caring and saying 'thank you'.

I took another piece in that needed a little bit of work done and they charged me $8.50. They were great people.

We've been customers of Messina's for years and have been pleased overall with the shoe repairs. This is the first time we've used them for luggage repair. Two zipper pulls had fallen off a suitcase following rough treatment by airline baggage handlers. Messina's replaced the zipper pulls, but they are mis-matched. A quality repair would have been with pulls that match the zipper color and are the same size. Apparently these parts were not available at the time of the repair (the repair was finished about a week after drop-off). However, the pulls work fine, the price was reasonable, and it's an old suitcase anyway, so we accepted the repair after discussing it with Messina's staff. It still would have been nice to get a phone call telling us that matched pulls were not available and we could choose between getting the bag back on time or waiting a few more days for the parts to arrive.

Overall nice repair. One set of insoles was not completely glued in and had to be fixed after bringing shoes home. Good quality, but incomplete repair.

We've used another shoe repair service in the past, and when we took a pair of favorite old shoes to be re-soled, they told us to "go buy a new pair of shoes". We then took the shoes to Messina's, where the shoes were fixed and now look like new. We're not going to the former shoe repair store any more - in fact, I just took another pair to Messina's for re-soling. Service is friendly and prompt. It's an older-looking store - they've probably been in this location for many years.
