"Level existing concrete driveway I can't say enough good things, from the front office to the field technicians. Justin and Austin were polite, very informative and skilled at what they did. We couldn't be happier with the end result. They will be highly recommended. Ronnie and Linda"

"Jaye Stark came personally twice to supervise a crew of 4 people. The work was done as scheduled, with attention to detail in meeting my requirements. While waiting for the cement to cure, the crew was also helpful in doing a couple of small jobs which Jay authorized them to do. The company exceeded my expectations and I am pleased that Angie's List reviews were instrumental in my hiring decision. Will hire them again, if the need arises."

"The experience, overall, was excellent. There were delays on both sides however, communication was always very good and everyone was very patient. Ultimately, the job was done and it was done very well! It was a pleasure to do business with Oscar and Stable Foundations. If we ever need concrete work in the future, we will call them without hesitation.

"We hired Moises and Austin Concrete Pros to demo our existing driveway and replace it with a ribbon driveway as required by our CoA building permits. His bid was fair, his communication was excellent, he completed everything when he said he would and the quality was great. Would for sure hire him again, also an all around nice guy."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Consult a foundation repair pro to determine the best way to lift your sinking foundation.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
