"This was our second time using Pinckard Landscaping, and once again, it was truly a job well done. This time, we decided to have new landscaping installed in our front yard. We worked with Sandy and after meeting with us, discussing our preferences and taking meticulous measurements, she came back with a color rendering of her recommendations for the project. We made just a few adjustments and the work began the following week. The yard looks amazing!"

"My expectations were exceeded. The final project turned out great. It was per plans. They performed a power and lighting installation to a garage/workshop addition I had constructed for my pottery art. They were on time and completed the job on time. They handled a problem I had with the plans right away as to not delay the job. You will be happy with the work and the price. I recommend this company for any electrical service."

"John with Illuminart was a pleasure to deal with. He was prompt with his estimate. He was very competitive. He made several suggestions to keep the price of the project LOW. Most importantly - Illuminart - lived up to their name. The placement of lights gives the house a great street view. And more importantly - the downlights in the trees gives a great picture on the lawn. Absolutely worth every penny spent! Highly recommend and will use Illuminart in the future."

"I own a small Architectural Office both residential and Light Commercial and was in a bind with several projects and was in need of a helping hand. Hank was very fast and detailed on the projects at hand. He got me out of bind, thanks to his speed and knowledge. That when I handed the projects over to him, I did not have to worry about my deadlines, excellent quality of work and precision. I currently use him on several of my projects and he has given me the ability to go after more projects. excellent work"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair a short circuit depends on the type of repair. A faulty outlet or simple loose wire can be a simple fix that might only cost a handful of dollars. For example, if you need to rewire a house, you’ll spend around $2 to $4 per square foot, but replacing an entire electrical panel costs anywhere from $500 to $2,100.

The lifespan of a pool light depends on the type, but thankfully, these lights are designed to last a long time before they need to be replaced. LED bulbs last the longest, about 20,000 to 30,000 hours, while incandescent bulbs last the shortest amount of time, about 1,000 to 5,000 hours. Fiber optic pool lights will last around 6,000 hours.

If your lights are shorting out during rain storms or other winter events, you should probably replace them. These shorts indicate electrical issues that could cause serious hazards. Look for outdoor-rated lights with connectors made for rainy conditions to replace them. But if your Christmas lights are new and you want further protection, you can find weatherproof covers to add to the male-end connectors of your Christmas light strings. These can minimize the risk of shorts.

A motion detector light may need to be reset due to a number of technical issues. These can include faulty or misadjusted sensors and burned-out bulbs. You may also need to reset a motion sensor after an electrical surge or a power outage, as these can change a light’s settings and cause it to function differently.

Simple repairs like replacing bulbs can be DIY projects, but professionals should handle significant electrical repairs to ensure safety and compliance with electrical standards.
