"Butler's Clean Out Services (Mr. Butler) was professional, timely, and hauled away all debris I hired his company to remove from my property the day after I initially spoke with him. They arrived at the time we agreed upon for arrival, quoted a fair price, and removed debris (large retaining wall bricks) quickly. They also left the worksite in good order upon completion of their work. I would recommend using Butler's Clean Out Services. I have additional projects that will require removal of debris and will hire Mr. Butler again!"

"Cruz did an amazing job pressure washing my rental property. He was extremely responsive from start to finish and kept me updated throughout the entire process. What I appreciated most was his honesty and professionalism, it’s hard to find workers you can truly trust, and Cruz is definitely one of them. He even coordinated directly with my contractor to properly prep the wood for another project, which made everything run so much smoother. I’ll absolutely be working with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, quality work."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

On average, it takes one to four hours for a professional to install a garbage disposal. This includes removing the old unit, taking necessary measurements for positioning, removing and fitting new pipes, and installing the brand-new disposal system. If there are unforeseen issues, such as accessibility concerns, the process takes longer.

Whether it's worth repairing your garbage disposal depends on its age and the specific problem. Generally, if the unit is eight years old or younger, repair is a good option. For minor issues like a bad seal or a simple jam, a repair can be inexpensive, sometimes under $10. However, if the motor is broken (a repair that can cost $150 or more) or the unit is getting old, it's often more cost-effective to replace the entire disposal.

The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.
