"I was considering 3 companies to do the work. They provided the best deal. The installation went very smoothly; finished in a day. Very happy with the process to that point. Had some problems with some logistics afterward. The papers weren't processed properly to iniitally run the solar panels (it took 2 months till we figured out the electric company hadn't 'turned on' the panels). There was also some problems with the paperwork for the tax rebates that slowed things down. I talked to the owner Mark, who was very sorry for the problems and offered a small refund, even though we don't really know what happened. He wanted to be sure I was a happy customer, which I am. I was impressed by his professionalism. However, I'm still not seeing the savings that I was told. I've had my house energy audited, installed Nest thermostats, and still not seeing a major decrease in my KWh usage. I can only assume that we are having a hotter season than last year; hoping to realize savings next year. "

When combined with a substantial solar system, if you have enough Powerwalls, you could go off-grid and be energy independent. But remember, you'd need enough Powerwalls to power your whole home continuously because a single Powerwall can’t power large appliances for extended periods. One Powerwall is able to power an average-sized home's emergency circuits, lights, and outlets. To power large appliances, you likely need two or three Powerwalls.
Yes, Tesla Powerwalls are worth the upfront costs, as you can recoup your investment within six to eight years. Plus, they provide peace of mind that you'll have power during a power outage, and, depending on the system you install, you can become energy-independent. While they may be more expensive than other solar power systems, they offer higher battery capacity and lifespan.
There is no blanket figure for a residential home’s electrical load, since load varies by the size of the home, how many appliances are used, and the efficiency of their electrical systems. Typically, however, it’s safe to assume 40 to 60 amps is the average electrical load of a residential home.
Common warning signs of an overloaded electrical panel or meter box include frequent circuit breaker tripping, flickering or dimming lights, scorch or burn marks, and a burning scent coming from the panel. A circuit breaker trips as a protective measure to prevent overheating and potential fires. If you observe any of these signs, turn off the affected circuit breaker and move some devices to a different circuit. If the problem persists after turning the breaker back on, you should contact a professional electrician to resolve the issue.
