"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"if you are lookig for a high quality craftsmanship for any of your household projects, including demolition, rebuilding, remodel, floorin, granite, marble, panting and electrical, cabinets, lights stands and more. We would highly recomend Armando Gomez and his crew from A A D G Enterprises LLC. We contracted him for painting, electrical, new lights and exterior fans, they also replaced the light bulbs that we could not reach, as well as making recommendations for additional projects that would further enhance our property several of which we plan to implement with him. we were greatly impressed with the conscientiousness of Armando and his crew. They were respectful, skilled, thorough in the overall job was done wit attention to detail. It was obvious to us that the standards that they had set for themselves was very high. It shower It showed in the results of their work, it was well above and beyond the regular standards. They paid close attention to all the details that made their work superior in every way. Small jobs welcome

Hi, we’re Omar and Imelda, the owners of Frontera Hauling & Junk Removal Services LLC. We started this business with a simple goal: to work hard, treat every customer with respect, and provide quality work we can be proud of. While hauling and junk removal are at the heart of what we do, our experience also allows us to take on demolition, property cleanups, remodeling projects, pergolas, fences, and other home improvement work. We believe that doing the job right, being dependable, and taking pride in our work is what leads to lasting success. We’d appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust and your business.

Woodworking questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can find ceiling joists using simple tools if a stud finder isn't available.

Using a hammer requires patience and a keen ear. Gently tap the ceiling in a grid pattern, listening for sound changes. A hollow sound indicates space between joists, while a solid, dull thud suggests a joist. Mark the location with a pencil and confirm by tapping from different angles.

Alternatively, you can use a nail, but this method will leave small holes. You'll feel increased resistance when the nail hits a joist. Mark the spot and repeat the process every 16 or 24 inches to map the joist locations. This method is considered less reliable than using a stud finder.

When building a house, it is customary to use 16d nails that measure 3 1/2 inches in length to construct the frame. These nails are crucial in providing the necessary support and stability for structural elements like joists and studs, which ensures a sturdy framework.

Many people, including professionals in the field, use baluster and spindle interchangeably to describe the vertical components of a railing (or technically, a balustrade). However, there are subtle or distinct differences, depending on who you ask. The most common interpretation is that spindles are thin or delicate versions of balusters.

Yes, ceiling joists are typically load-bearing. However, their primary function is to support the weight of the ceiling and loads applied to it, like lighting fixtures and ceiling fans. They can also help support the roof, especially if they’re part of truss systems. Remember, the load-bearing capacity of ceiling joists depends on the material, size, and space between them.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.
