Hello! \nI’ve been in the Austin area for about 12 years. I enjoy doing all things hands on. I’ve works for 3 years in a custom furniture wood shop building anything from doors, custom cabinets, tables, chairs, and vanities. I’m currently working in a wood shop that builds custom wood doors and windows. Prior to that I worked on the restoration side of the company restoring doors and windows. I’ve also done furniture restoration. \nLet me know what your project is and I’ll be 100% honest with you about the time and materials it’ll take to do the job!

Small jobs welcome

"I would highly recommend this company for any of the services they provide. This husband and wife team were so awesome by first accepting my call on a Sunday, their off day. They even came by my house to do the estimate on cleaning the gutters that Sunday. Once they saw what had to be done, they lowered their usual fee as they said the work needed was at a minimal. Besides that, they both are extremely nice and easy people to talk to and work with. That is why I will be calling them again for our next cleaning project this summer."

Gutter Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If your gutters are out of reach, a leaf blower with a gutter cleaning attachment can help blow out leaves and dirt. You can also consider using a telescoping gutter cleaning tool, which extends your reach while allowing you to clean from the ground. These tools often have adjustable attachments, such as brushes or hoses, to clear debris effectively. If these options aren’t practical, hiring a professional is a safe and efficient way to clean your gutters without risking injury.

The most common problem with gutters is clogging from debris like leaves, blossoms, and seeds from surrounding trees. This debris can block downspouts, leading to improper drainage and water overflow.

Other common issues include:

  • Leaks and holes, which can often be repaired with gutter sealant or caulk.

  • Rust, sagging, or detachment from the roofline.

  • Damage from strong storms.

  • Improperly pitched gutters that don't drain correctly.

Regular cleaning in the spring and fall is the best way to prevent most of these problems. You may need to clean them more often during periods of heavy leaf fall.

Yes, it is generally considered safe to use a leaf blower to clear debris from gutters as long as you are wearing safety goggles and gloves. It's also necessary to have a gutter extension tool. In cases of severe clogs, it's necessary to manually clear debris that cannot be removed by the pressure of the leaf blower. Homeowners should be aware that the incredible power and speed of the output of a leaf blower can blow debris into downspouts. When this happens, water won't be able to flow through the gutters properly. For this reason, many homeowners hire professional gutter cleaners.

Underground downspouts refer to the sections of downspout extensions that lead away from your home and gutter system. While they cost more than traditional extensions, they can provide several benefits, such as less frequent damage and no need to move them for lawn care tasks. Whether they're worth it or not depends on your budget at installation time and how much convenience they'll add to your situation.

While both underground and above-ground downspout extensions are a step up from no downspout extensions, underground downspouts are better for those looking for a more discreet option. Underground downspouts are hidden away—out of sight, out of mind. You won't be bumping into the extended sections with your lawn mower, nor will you see the downspouts sticking out like a sore thumb.
