Jay was timely, pleasant to work with, and very knowledgable (20 years experience). He took the time to teach me about my pool as he fixed the heater. The circuit boards were fried which is very common and happens often on Hayward Pool Heaters. The pricing was inline with other repair companies, except Jay actually knew what he was doing! The other companies explained I'd need to disconnect the heater from my Aqualinks remote, but Jay actually knew how to program (from memory) the equipment correctly. Great job! I will definitely use Parrot Head Pool Service again.

Arrived at appointed time. Performed the task cleaned the filter removed all the old DE and picked up the work area mad left the space all in order.

First day, Kevin blasted the tile, then the crew came in to chisel out the old plaster, next day Modern Method Gunite came with the pebbletec and finished up. Within 5 days, the pool was being filled back up with water.

Total cost of repair was $364 broken down as $140 labor, $210 parts, and $15 tax. This was to fix the main pump leaking water and gas heater was not working. The main pump was repaired by replacing with about $20 in seals and a few dollars in labor. I had previously been told by Leslie's Pool Repair that the bolts were too rusted to get to the seals and that I would need to spend over $300 on a new pump. It was pleasant surprise to hear the Parrot Head could service the old pump. The heater had a bad igniter which I saw with my own eyes. So the cost was mostly parts. Very happy with work done. They were prompt and friendly.

They are average. I would probably look to use someone different next time.

The pool had not been cleaning well for months. There was always debris floating and on the bottom. We asked our previous pool service to find the cause for weeks -- nothing. This was the catalyst for us switching to Parrot Head. What a relief! We even shared Parrot Head's name with our pool builder.

Have a 12-year old, 9,000 gallon, white plaster, in-ground pool and the plaster was rutted and worn away in spots, and difficult to keep clean of algae. Got job bids from both Parrothead and Express (based on Angie's list ratings... thank you fellow members). Decided to go with Parrothead even though they were more expensive by ~$1000. The reason was I felt they were a more full service operation than Express, which is focused on replastering only. Also I was interested in signing up for their ongoing maintenance pool service afterwards. Tommy Rayburn/owner, met with us to discuss options on plaster and tile types, and job details. Nice guy, very on top of his business and focused on customer service. We went with a blue specked plaster with a dominant white background color, can't remember the brand name. Very pretty and more interesting than plain white plaster. The job execution was impressive and went down exactly as Tommy outlined. A large crew (~6) showed up on day one and started the prep. Knocked out old plaster around vents and fixtures, but just scoured the main body plaster with acid (they do not remove the bulk of the plaster, simply layer over it). The whole job only took a week. Had some follow-up visits to finish off details - putting the lights back in place, backwashing the plaster junk out of the filter. In general, they did a great job, the pool looks fantastic.

I would give Parrot Head Pool Service & Repair all As & will continue to use them.

Was great! I thought I needed to buy a new pump but they took a look and told me that they could fix it which was much cheaper then a new pump. Have recommend them to friends since then.

I had Parrott Head Pools come and give me a quote for refinishing my pool. It was well within reason, and I plan on proceeding after I clear up some unplanned expenses (read "medical"). In the interim, last week, the pump died on me and I called the Parrott Head folks. Remember, this was Thanksgiving eve eve. They told me they would be out next Tuesday, about a week. That's fine, since a) I told them no rush, cool weather and all, and b) it was the holiday weekend coming up. About an hour later, the tech arrived (same day, same HOUR) addressed the problem. He checked the system, and determined it was new pump time. He knew the pump came from one of the pool supply chain stores, and told me if I wanted to do it myself (I mentioned I had done it before), it wouldn't take more than half an hour. He put everything back together, and even pulled the electric off the pump to make it easier to remove. Here's the shocker...he didn't charge me anything. Nada. Zip. Bupkis. He just smiled, shook mky hand, packed up, and left me speechless. Here I thought that kind of service was a thing of the past, like Ipana toothpaste and the Sear's catalog. I will gladly call them for any service where they can actually make some money off me, and I recommend them to all my neighbors. They are an Angie's List star.

Got on Angies List and found Parrot Head Pool Services. Liked their reviews so I gave them a call. Left a message and within about an hour, Garrett had called me back, took the time to find out what was going on and answer my questions and scheduled appt. for them to come out. Jay came out, thank God it wasn't the pump itself but just a part on the pump ($69.00 vs $350+) and he looked at the light & is ordering me a new fixture & will install in next week! And we are doing some things for the salt cell to see if that works before replacing anything on it. AND they gave me 10% off for finding them on Angies List! I would SO use these guys again and I will use them from now on for all my pool issues! THANKS PARROT HEAD guys!!

My pool filter was not functioning and the pool condition was deteriorating. Jay was able to clean it, explain what I needed to do to clean it myself, and evaluated the overall condition of my pool and made further recommendations. The pool is now crystal clear and clean. When I purchased the house I knew the pool needed to be re-plastered and I will be calling Parrot Head for a quote as well.

I called Parrothead Pool Services to come out and assess why my pool pump was blowing out air. They guided me over the phone with many suggestions of what I should check that I could fix myself to avoid having to spend any money. In the end I asked them to come out for an assessment and within just a few minutes of their arrival they had fixed my issue to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in their service area with a pool.

After reading reviews, I called Parrothead to resurface our pool. Tommy returned my initial call very quickly to set up an appointment to get an estimate. I got bids from two other companies as well. Parrothead was not the least expensive; however, I chose them for several reasons: one, I felt like Tommy did a good job of discussing various options we had and the pros and cons of each; two, he seemed very knowledgeable, yet was willing to admit if something was outside his area of expertise, and three, I liked that their work included pool care for the first month to ensure our resurfacing got the right start. The finished product turned out great -- our pool looks better than it has in years. We were overall very pleased with the work performed and the service provided throughout the process. If we had one complaint, it would be that Tommy did not always know when the pool plasterers were going to come -- not his fault if they didn't let him know -- but that meant there were times we weren't really sure what the schedule was going to be. I would recommend them -- nice folks, good work!

I had been dealing with a serviceman who told me that my pump needed replacement. "They all go in 4 to 5 years". This individual had already replaced my aqua-pure cell three months ago. The pool is only 4 years old. All Jandy equipment was used. I decided to get another opinion and found Parrothead on Angie's list. The serviceman came to my house and looked over all of the equipment and said all I needed was a capacitor. Needless to say, I have changed my service.

Mark and his team have done a great job of cleaning our pool. They are very professional and extremely helpful as this is our first pool.

Our old pool was in need of replastering. Tommy was very responsive to our phone call to get an estimate. He came that day to check the pool and brought samples of finishes and tile. Not pushy when he didn't hear back from us, just following up with his estimate. Went with his recommendation of the pebble finish and very glad we did. It's beautiful. Andy is doing the start-up and has been great at calling to let us know when he is coming by to check the pool. Parrot Head Pool Service is an asset to Angie's List.
