We are licensed by the State of Texas for Lead-based Paint and Mold! We are an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead Safe Certified firm which enables us to perform renovation and remodeling activities in homes which may contain lead-based paint. In April of 2010, the EPA began enforcement of the RRP (Renovation, Repair, or Painting) rule covering homes built before 1978. The RRP rule requires Contractors to be certified and to use safe practices to contain the spread of lead dust during activities. We are fully certified and compliant with the new rule. We are also a Texas Lead Firm employing Lead Inspectors, Lead Risk Assessors, and Lead Abatement Supervisors. If you are concerned about potential lead hazards in your home, we can perform a Lead Inspection, Lead Risk Assessment, and/or Lead Clearance Testing. We are licensed to perform Commercial and Residential Lead Abatement. Additionally, we can perform Mold Assessments and Mold Remediation. If you are concerned about potential Mold hazards in your home, or need a Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CMDR), please call us for details. We are licensed to perform Commercial and Residential Mold Remediation.

"I just had the best experience with Steve Veedell and want to recommend him strongly. I asked my husband to refinish our tub this weekend and completely didn't think about the fact that our home was built in 1945 and there may be lead in the tub. After he sanded the tub and painted it, I realized I couldn't bring the baby back home without knowing whether we had just kicked up some lead dust or not! Steve had quoted some remodeling services for me before and I remembered he had tested every area of the job thoroughly for lead due to the age of my home. I called him up this morning and he was over at my home within the hour to test the tub (which tested negative for lead, thank goodness)! He didn't charge me a dime for his services today. He is a great guy to work with so if you also have a home that is older, give him a call before doing any remodeling to check for lead, especially if you have littles in the home as I do! He does a lot of services including mold remediation, too."

When the insurance company sends an insurance adjuster to represent them, ... ONE QUESTION ... who is representing you?

"Plumber was called by apartment complex when our underground crews hit gas and water. Our crews exposed with a mini excavator both pipes to be repaired. Plumber repaired both and sent us an invoice for each. I would have to say I was shocked. We have used numerous plumbers over the years but never one that was so expensive. When we inquired about the bill and asked for detail (hours and material used) he just became very belligerent and refused to offer more info. You would think when they would charge you $500 just for rolling out on an emergency they could at least spell emergency. Wow. Good luck if you choose this company."

Yes, testing professionals typically provide reports with recommendations for safe lead removal.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

Hazardous waste is waste that poses a threat to human or environmental health. This generally refers to waste that is flammable, corrosive, toxic, or reactive. To confirm if the waste you need to remove is considered hazardous waste, contact your local hazardous waste facility.
