"We hired this company to install heating/ac unit in our home. Tim Robinson personally oversaw the whole process, and also came to do rechecks and maintenance when due. He is very personable, efficient and knowledgeable about all aspects of the unit. We would highly recommend him and Quality Cooling and Heating to anyone."

"I am so happy that my A/C is fixed! Corey from Elliot's Air Conditioning, came out and serviced my compressor and A/C unit, unclogged what was stopped up, added freon and cleaned the compressor. Corey was very informative, told me what he doing and what needed to be done with my unit. The job was done right, good price and excellent customer service. I will use Elliot's A/C again. Thank you."

I am a Medical Assistant/Xray tech. I have been houses for the last 4 years, part time as my schedule becomes less hectic. My schedule varies with working at an urgent care but hopefully we can work around that to get some cleaning done. I enjoy it. It help relieve stress in a relaxing way. For me anyway. I have most of my experience cleaning Air BnB’s. A couple of residential properties. Anything extra your needing can be discussed before hand. I do a majority of basic cleaning. Making beds, dusting, sweeping and moping. Only laundry I have done is just for the bed linens. But if you’re needing help with laundry we can discuss that before hand. Any questions please ask. Thank you for time.

"Aaron came out the same day the service call was placed. Aaron was very knowledgeable and professional and troubleshooted my furnace quickly and efficiently. He found the issue he thought it might be and made the repair. The quality and affordability of Cygnature Heating do come together, just as their tag line states. I highly recommend this company."

"Very diligent installation and work methods. The owner and his son were very considerate. They continuously progressed through the project. When they left, the new acâ s were functional and the area around the house returned to original."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

If you know how to identify supply and return ducts, you’ll find that only the supply ducts will have dampers. Although your return ducts can have dampers, it’s not common. If you have one return duct that is pulling in too much air, adding a damper to it can help with overall system performance. However, dampers on return ducts are not a necessary addition for most homes.

Unfreezing an AC unit is not a DIY project unless the problem is a dirty air filter. Changing out an air filter is easy for homeowners, but otherwise, trying to repair ductwork, refill refrigerant, or replace a blower fan motor are tasks best left to the pros. Otherwise, you could cause further damage to your cooling system or even harm to yourself.

Window AC units use a fair amount of electricity, but significantly less than central AC systems. Because they are more energy-efficient for cooling individual rooms or small spaces, their usage is comparatively low. On average, a window AC unit consumes between 500 and 1,400 watts, while a central AC system uses over 3,500 watts—meaning a window unit uses about one-third of the energy. This typically translates to a monthly running cost of $15 to $40, although this can vary depending on external factors.

To find a reputable HVAC company, start by researching providers in your area. Look for companies with mostly positive online reviews and check the Better Business Bureau’s website for customer complaints. Next, verify their credentials. Rule out any companies that aren’t licensed, as this is a requirement in some states and municipalities, and confirm they are insured. Once you have a shortlist, contact each professional to ask key questions: How many years of experience do you have? Do you hold any third-party certifications? Do you have experience working on my specific type of HVAC system or brand? Can you provide references? What is your per-hour pricing? Do you offer maintenance contracts for ongoing savings? Do you provide a warranty for your work?

The best way to compare HVAC quotes is getting a few detailed quotes from local companies with good reputations. Then, go over the quotes line by line. Protect yourself by insisting on in-person estimates that include equipment manufacturer names, model numbers, SEER ratings, amounts and numbers of materials, details of warranties on equipment and labor, and other specifics.

Knowing the exact equipment and materials is the only way that you can fairly compare quotes. Quotes that are much lower than others can be a sign that the company isn’t providing the best quality service or materials.
