"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

"We absolutely love the new picture window over the kitchen sink. It's beautiful and appears to have been installed properly. The job was quick. We thought it was an expensive job though."

"I contacted them to do the repair as mentioned above.  They were easy to work with, provided a timely estimate and schedule to perform the work.  The actual work was performed after we sold and settled so I have no info on the actual quality of work.  Many window companies did not even want to do replacement panes.

"Let me start to say that i attempted to do this myself that i worked at for almost a month on and off after work. I finally came to the realization I needed an expert and soon as i'm doing a remodel that needs to get done before thanksgiving when i have family visiting. So I start my search and in less than 24hrs Morgan drywall contacted me and came out for an estimate. Not only was the price acceptable, he got the job done the next two days! Let me say it is beautiful!! not only did he clean up my mess but he was nice another to give me tips on how to get the rest of the remodel done correctly. I thank the lord for Morgan Drywall as he did not only an amazing job but did it quickly and was very professional."

"Champion turned our covered patio into a beautiful sunroom. it takes a little while to custom make the sliding glass doors but the main install was one day. The upper transom windows had to be measured and customized after the main doors were installed but transom install was 3-4 hours. Workers were very courteous and knowledgeable and clean. We are very pleased with the results and recommend Champion 100%. Thank you Champion!"

"I had ordered the Big Deal from Get Blinds Today, $500 for $199. Total cost was about $750 for 11 blinds factoring in the Big Deal. For the initial visit, Cordell measured the windows. The install took place two weeks later. Mostly everything went well, but one blind was the incorrect size. Cordell came back the next day, but again, it was the wrong size. Third day to charm. Other than that one hiccup, the experience was very good.

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

To tell if a window is single or double-pane, focus on the edge. Double-pane windows have two glass layers separated by a spacer, which you can usually see around the edges. For single-pane windows, it’s just one sheet of glass. Another easy trick: shine a light at the window—single-pane glass reflects once, while double-pane glass reflects twice. Lastly, if you feel both sides of the glass on a cold day, double-paned windows will feel warmer because of the insulating gap between the panes.

For small, non-pressure-related cracks, you can fix them using two-part epoxy. This spares you the cost and hassle of replacing the glass. Simply clean the surface and remove any debris or dirt, wait for the glass to dry, then spread an even layer of mixed epoxy solution over the crack. You can use a putty knife or rubber spatula to push the epoxy into the crack.

While finding your mirror cracked can be spooky, there are actually many logical and common reasons why this happens. First, the mirror may have been mounted unevenly in the first place. Over time, poor mounting leads to stress points that will eventually cause a mirror to crack. Other common causes of a mirror spontaneously cracking include dramatic temperature shifts, strong thunder or a loud crash somewhere in the distance, exposure to heat and sunlight, and an uneven wall in your home. It's also possible that your mirror had a manufacturing defect or microscopic cracks that occurred during glass cutting or handling that eventually caused it to shatter.

You should dust your mirrors once every one to two weeks as a part of your normal cleaning routine, and you should plan on cleaning with a glass cleaner or DIY cleaning solution once a month or so. This will help reduce the buildup of hygiene products like hair spray on the mirror, as well as oils and dirt from fingers. You can always spot-clean between regular cleanings if you notice your mirror getting dirty or smudged.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.
