"Blackburn Construction was great to work with. My neighbor and I had a difficult riverbank repair on a steep slope along the Cumberland River after a previous contractor left a mess (putting it lightly). Trentt, the owner, called me back first thing in the morning and came out the very next day—despite pouring rain—to walk the site and provided a fair quote. He and his crew were professional, friendly, and did an excellent job rebuilding both riverbanks, stacking the stone with care so it looks great as well as secure. The work was so well done that I asked them to add a retaining wall and gutter drainage for extra protection. They showed up on time and finished before the river level rose. Highly recommend them!"

"Jason did a great job grading leveling and adding crush stone for a carport. He was very professional and completed the work timely. He send me progress pictures as we were away updating us with the work done. He was careful not to damage our cement driveway by putting boards down. Everything came out perfect and the total cost was reasonable. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Jason!!"

"We received a call for a review request from Angie's List on 6/23 and had to cut the call short. We think this abbreviated call may have left some questions unanswered and therefore reduced the overall score Hardscapes received - which wouldn't be fair at all! We have not regretted working w/ them one time and highly recommend the work and wanted to add an additional review to share that (because we find other reviews on Angie's List so helpful when we're making a service professional choice/decision!)."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

In Springfield, TN, land surveying needs often change as your home ages. New homes require initial boundary and topographic surveys, while mid-life properties may need updated surveys for additions, fences, or resolving minor disputes. Older homes might need surveys for refinancing or to address shifting boundaries after years of landscape changes. Regularly updating surveys ensures your property records stay accurate and in line with Springfield’s evolving standards.

Helpful?

In Springfield, TN, consider a new land survey if your current survey is over a decade old or lacks modern GPS accuracy. Signs include missing or disturbed boundary markers, property lines that don’t match fences, or new disagreements with neighbors. Major changes like recent construction, grading, or updates to local land use rules are also strong reasons to have your property boundaries professionally rechecked.

Helpful?

Before starting land surveying in Springfield, TN, review local zoning and permit requirements, and gather all property records, including old plats and deeds. Check for recent changes in flood zones if your property is near the Red River. Schedule a utility locate to prevent disruptions and plan your project around Springfield’s seasonal weather patterns. Hiring a surveyor familiar with local terrain can help anticipate site-specific challenges and keep your project moving smoothly.

Helpful?

Surveyors in Springfield, TN, start by examining your property’s deeds and neighboring records to establish historical boundaries. They locate existing survey markers, use advanced measuring tools, and reference state coordinate systems for precision. If discrepancies arise, they apply Tennessee property laws to resolve them. This process ensures your property boundaries are accurate, legally recognized, and tailored to Springfield’s local land features.

Helpful?

Land surveying in Springfield, TN, is tailored to support future property changes by clearly marking boundaries and recording them on detailed plats. Surveyors document topography, drainage, and note all easements or setbacks, ensuring you have a solid foundation for additions or expansions. This thorough documentation helps you avoid boundary disputes, comply with Springfield zoning rules, and plan confidently for future home improvements or landscaping projects.
