"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

"I have used 6th Man Movers twice for local moves and they are excellent! Today, Erik, Kamron and Quron were my moving team. They were kind, helpful, fast and efficient! This team knows what they are doing! They carefully prepped and protected all my furniture and even navigated my crazy stairs like champs! I’m so grateful for their help! I highly recommend 6th Man Movers and Erik, Quron & Kamron- what a great team! They took the time to go over my bill thoroughly too. I really appreciated this. Thank you so much!!! Cory was the coordinator for my move and he did a great job too! Alex called the day before my move to confirm everything and he was very thorough. I hope I don’t have to move in the near future, but if I do, I’m calling 6th Man Movers!"

"I have used Pro Express Moving three times in the last three years, and they have done an excellent job with every move. I'm constantly impressed with their speed of packing, handling of heavy items, and thoroughness in unpacking. They are professional and reliable, which is everything you want in a moving company."

Customers say: True professional

"Gunner reached out to me within a minute of my posting a need through Angi. I needed help moving my young adult daughter from Antioch to LaVergne... and I needed it to happen in two weeks! He assured me that it could be done; he had a crew and a truck. He didn't even charge for 2nd floor service! His quote was solid and I accepted right away. His guys showed up at the right time and did a good job transferring one apartment to another. Tracy reached out a couple of times before the move to make sure everything was set. I felt totally cared for and I was confident in the service they provided. Would certainly recommend Next Step Moving for any local move!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

You can purchase moving straps online or at a moving supply store, typically costing between $25 to $40. Shoulder moving straps for two people cost around $40, while forearm moving straps for two people cost around $30. Shoulder straps for one person cost about $30.

Yes, you can use a dolly to move a treadmill, though you won't always need one. If your treadmill has wheels and you’re moving it to a different location on the same floor, you can likely skip the dolly. But if you’re moving it up a flight of stairs or to a new home, a dolly can help you move it more easily.

Building a house is generally more expensive upfront than moving an existing one. However, the total cost depends on factors such as location, size, materials, labor, and permits. Moving a house can incur significant expenses for transportation, permits, site preparation, and renovations. On the other hand, building a new house allows for customization and may have lower long-term maintenance costs.

You should always transport the washer and dryer in an upright position. If they are turned on their sides to move, it can cause damage to the internal parts, such as the suspension and drums. Don’t attempt to move a washer or dryer to a new location if it’s sitting on its side.

The best way to transport plants when moving is to prep them properly, cover the soil, pack them tightly in boxes, and take extra precautions depending on state plant regulations, weather, and distance. You should be sure to fill in the gaps around your plants to minimize movement during transit and plan to unpack them shortly after arriving at your destination.
