Thicker concrete is less likely to crack due to extreme weather changes. Most concrete patios can benefit from resealing every 2 to 5 years, though the exact timing depends on the type of sealer used, how much wear and tear the surface gets, and how exposed it is to the elements. Acrylic sealers tend to wear down faster and may require yearly applications, while more durable options like epoxy or polyurethane can offer longer-lasting protection.
