"10X Solutions was a wonderful experience to do business with. They came out quickly to help with some plumbing work at my house and got me hooked up. Sean was very informative, helpful, and really goes the extra mile to make sure I don't have any issues in the future. I definitely recommend 10X Solutions for anything plumbing related."

"They were very quick to call to set up an appointment time.  Brandon (employee/repairman) called the morning of to confirm and again when he was on his way.
He repaired my gas cooktop and advised that the GE dishwasher, could be repaired with a new computer panel, but the evidence of water damage/rust, made repairing not the best option.
The Dacor microwave drawer would not power up. Initially the power cord was suspect because it seemed bent and damaged.
He ordered a new power cord and was going to return and install when it arrived.  When the cord arrived, Brandon (the business owner, not the employee who came the first time) came to install himself, because he suspected there may be another issue and wanted to run a few more tests.  He found that the power cord was an issue, but the electrical panels were also  not working properly.  He said that they could order parts to see if that would solve the issue, but no guarantees.  The panels would run $400 and that was more than  I wanted to invest in a 9 yr old microwave, so I decided to replace rather than throwing more money at it.
They did not charge me any additional for the work beyond the inspection/repair on the gas cook top. (which I purchased as an Angie's List big deal)
I would highly recommend All better Appliance.  They were very professional, punctual, and gave an me options along with their honest recommendation on what to fix and not to fix.   Brandon was very knowledgeable and also took time to discuss appliance brands and gave me recommendations for my replacements.

"I was very impressed with the installer who was sent. He mounted the dish without drilling through my new roof, which might have voided my roof warranty, Also, he mounted the dish in a location where it is easy for me to brush the snow off it in winter. I appreciate his knowledge and thoughtfulness. Also, they didn't charge me to re-install the dish."

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Professionals use the same methods to install solar shingles that they do for asphalt shingles, so you’ll often see a similar installation timeline of one to two days. The amount of time required will depend on the size and slope of your roof and the number of shingles installed. Weather conditions can delay installation, as working on a roof is unsafe during high winds or heavy rain.

In most cases, solar panels are covered by homeowners insurance because they are considered a permanently attached part of the home, and you may not need additional coverage. However, it is essential to read the fine print of your specific policy to understand the extent of the coverage, as some policies might only cover certain types of damage, such as hail. Always check with your insurance provider before installing solar panels to ensure your policy provides adequate coverage for your investment.

Yes, you can connect an inverter directly to your solar panels without solar battery storage if your home is connected to the power grid. However, most pros don’t recommend a direct connection because solar panels don’t put out steady voltage. It’s always best to install a charge controller between your solar panel and your inverter to regulate the flow of energy and ensure a stable power supply.

A few disadvantages of installing solar panels on your roof include the high up-front costs and the potential for increased property taxes. Installing solar panels can increase the home’s value, which in turn can mean higher taxes. Depending on your area, you should check with your local tax offices for more information. Another potential pitfall is roof leaks from a poor installation, but this shouldn’t be an issue if you hire a reputable company.

Insurance companies aren’t against solar panels, but they may have concerns about the risks and costs of insuring solar. The type of policy, where you live, and the insurance company itself matter. Extreme weather can damage solar panels, and faulty installation or electrical malfunctions pose a fire risk—this, in turn, can increase insurance company liability and payouts. However, you’re likely to keep coverage as long as you have a pro install the solar system, keep it maintained, can pass a solar panel inspection, and update your homeowners policy to include solar.
