"Landmark Uses Disreputable Contractors ? AZA Repair & Brenovations HVAC Are the Worst Landmark sent AZA Repair for my refrigerator, and they left it worse than before?still not working, scorch marks from a blowtorch, copper lines sticking out, tools and oil left behind, and no receipt. Then Landmark sent Brenovations HVAC for an AC motor replacement, and that turned into exposed wires, bolts hitting fan blades, missing parts, and complete disregard for safety near my kids? play area. Both companies were unprofessional, negligent, and refused accountability. Landmark?s use of these contractors makes me seriously question the value of having a home warranty at all."

American Home Design is a locally-owned and operated family business. Founded in 1977 on the basis of high quality home improvement. Our success has come from customer referrals- people like yourself, who buy our products and recommend us to others. Among the reasons for so many referrals are: No hidden costs, quality work, craftsmanship, and dependable service. Our customers feel they get extra value for their dollars. We look forward to helping you with your home improvement project.

"In my opinion, this has been one of the worst experiences with ever dealing with a contractor. The first installers that showed up not only broke glass from windows several times but also smoked cigarettes while my windows were out. One also ended up being so careless that glass and cut his leg ended in an ER visit. At that time, I had a window in my upstairs that was exposed to the outside elements. When speaking with customer service and also the manager of the installers they could not give me a time when they could get another installer out and stated that it could be several days before people are finished with other jobs before they could get to mine. They covered my window with thin plastic and spray foam. I thought I was being reasonable by asking them just to come and install the one window and that the job did not have to be finished that day or over the weekend. When speaking with her, the customer service manager stated that they did not know if they could accommodate having someone come off another job to install one window that exposed my house to the elements and also didn't know when they could get someone else to come to finish. This was hours after the incident. After that, the service manager told me he would call me by the end of the day to let me know if he could have an installer come over the next day but wasn't 100% sure and stated that it could be next week. At this time, I told them this was unacceptable and that I needed someone to at least come and fix the one window either today or tomorrow. By them not being able to give me a timeline my tenant had to cancel his out-of-town travels as he did not feel safe leaving his belongings exposed. The following day I got a call stating that a crew was on their way, which made me happy. But the installer that came was by himself, and even though he did a great job, my tenant living at my property had to help him carry the windows up the stairs, and also had to use my ladder to help him off the roof. When speaking with customer service, I told them that this was unacceptable that tenant and had to help with the job. They went on to only make excuses in a rude manner and told me that he probably chose to do that in, which he did because over the weekend, we had various storms coming, so he did not want to be in the same situation as before and had the elements outside damage the inside of my property. When seeking compensation, they told me that "life happens" and they could not give any discounts for the job. In my opinion, this company does not stand for the five-star customer service they portrayed. With every phone call I was met with a questioning tone, as well as being very defensive when requesting that my exposed window be installed within the next two days."

Tub Tile & Tops is a locally-owned and veteran-operated company that offers eco-friendly bathtub and tile refinishing and repair in the Nashville area. We offer a 5-year warranty, quick results, and free estimates! Contact us today at 615-469-0756. Don't waste time and money on an expensive and messy remodel! We can have your tub and tile looking like new in as little as one day! Services include: *Tub & Tile Refinishing (cast iron, porcelain, fiberglass, acrylic, cultured marble, ceramic and more!) *Fiberglass & Tub Repair (cracks, holes, chips, and optional foam reinforcement) *Counter Top Refinishing in a beautiful stone-look (formica, laminate, tile, cultured marble, and more!) *Small Blemish/Chip Repairs in your bathtub. *Full Bath Color Change (custom colors available!) *Pool Step, Jacuzzi, and Hot Tub Damage Repairs.

"For anyone thinking about resurfacing a tub, the only person I would call is Kenny at Tub Tile and Tops. I talked to six different companies before contracting Tub Tile and Tops for my tub because my needs were a little special. I have a stamped steel tub, which is not very thick metal, and it had pre-existing rust near the drain area when I bought my house. Since most of the bathroom is nice ceramic tile and it is right up to the edge of the tub, replacing the tub would be a big job and very expensive. I figured it would make sense to make a smaller investment to try to save the tub. Kenny was up front that rust is extremely difficult to stop, just like with a car, and he cannot give a warranty for rust issues, which was a more nuanced response than any other resurfacer would give me. Given my experience with Ohio cars (rusting from road salt), I knew Kenny was being more honest than the other contractors. Kenny's employee did a terrific job with the tub, and it looks beautiful. There is a non-slip grit in the surface so we don't fall in the tub. Recently, a little rust broke through the tub again near the drain (about 9 months to a year later), so Kenny came out himself at no charge and touched it up, even though I was aware this was a risk and I figured this was on me. He's truly a stand-up guy, and very trustworthy, plus I observed that he has a lot of experience in how to handle tub issues. For the price, this resurfacing is worth it to me just to try to get a few more years out of this tub, since so many other parts of my house need major work and I can't do everything at once. I'm glad I called Kenny for this job because it allows me to get more use out of what I have. He responds quickly when you call or email, and he cares about quality rather than turning and burning like so many other companies. I like that he gave me the right advice on what to expect along the way."

Price is outrageous especially at that price point when you ask them to make the job right, they come back and ask for more money. "I was very pleased with the work Billy and his team performed in remodeling my bathroom. They showed up on time and respected my home, which was important since I couldn't be home during the day for them to complete the work. The drywall and tile work is particularly impeccable, and everyone I encountered was very respectful. It was clear everyone who did work was an expert in their particular area. The budget increased slightly due to some unforeseen problems we uncovered with the floor, but outside that we stayed on budget per the contract. I would absolutely recommend them."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Hot tub repair costs are less expensive than purchasing a new one, especially if your warranty is still intact. You can shop for a secondhand unit or find a deal for a trade-in. If the price to repair your hot tub is higher than the cost of a new one, consider replacing your unit.

The general rule of thumb is to lower it by about five degrees when you know you’re not using your hot tub for an extended period of time. With only a slight decrease in temperature, it will be easier to increase it to a desirable level when you’re ready to get back in the water instead of starting from scratch.

No. In fact, some owners prefer to “summerize” their hot tubs and use them primarily over winter to enjoy the contrast of cold and hot water. It’s possible to keep the tub filled and running year-round, and some pros may even recommend this method compared to the work and risks of a full winterization every year.

However, keeping the hot tub running will require additional resources. You’ll use more power and more chemicals to keep it in good shape. Weigh the pros and cons of your situation before making a decision.

You can and should use a hose to fill a hot tub. There shouldn’t be anything special about the hose other than it shouldn’t be damaged. Kinks or leaks could slow down the filling process. Attach the hose to the nearest spigot and get the water flowing.

You can drain a hot tub very quickly by using a submersible pump rather than the hose-sized drain at the bottom exterior of the tub. A pump can move up to 30 gallons per minute, draining your hot tub in no time. Using the regular drain can take up to two hours.
