"Archie and carol were amazing! They were sweet, on time, professional and were extremely easy to have as our cupboard restyle experts. "Quality Cabinets was hired to re face and replace kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. They are very particular about their work and very professional. He treats it like his own. We could not be happier with the results. Very timely, said 4 to 5 days, it was 4 days. Vitaliy is very talented and loves what he does and it shows. We would not hesitate to recommend this company."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"We talked to Kevin Monday about installing an Egress window. We met with Kevin on Tuesday and the work was done by Friday. Kevin and his crew were very professional, polite, and hardworking profectionists. They vacuumed up all the dust when they were finished and hauled away all excess dirt. Anytime they came into our home they removed their shoes. We love our new window and would HIGHLY recommend KJ Drywall, Inc. We couldn't be happier with their work!"

"We were incredibly pleased with Jim and Craftwood Cabinetry. Jim designed our kitchen (every inch of it) and provided our cabinets. Our house was built in 1914 and knew remodeling the kitchen would come with some challenges and bumps in the road but Jim he was thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He listened to our ideas and helped us find just the perfect match for our style and price range. He was always quick to return emails, texts, and phone calls and made us feel that our questions were important. In fact, Jim took the time to go over every detail so that nothing was missed! His attention to detail and to customer service is extraordinary. We love our kitchen every square inch! Every part of it is in the perfect place. It makes cooking and entertaining so enjoyable. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the market for cabinets. You will be so happy with the products and service!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

You can budget a little less money for how to build a closet with wire shelves than with wood shelves. Some people don’t like the aesthetics that wire shelves provide, though, meaning they’ll gladly spend a little more to add wood shelves to the build. If you decide to buy pre-made wire shelves instead of building custom-sized wood shelves, you’ll be restricted in the closet shelving dimensions you can use.

Bump-out additions can add some space to a closet without requiring any significant structural work. This entails pushing back the existing rear or side of the closet, simply moving the wall into either an adjacent room or unused space. For ground-floor closets, this could even be extended to the exterior of the home, but that has its own complications. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

The vertical space between closet shelves depends on what you're storing. For clothing like shirts and sweaters, 10 to 12 inches is enough. Towels and linens need 12 to 15 inches, while tall storage bins may require 18 inches or more. Overcrowding your shelves can reduce accessibility and increase clutter, so be sure to leave breathing room for your items.

Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.
