We are a locally independently owned company. Specializing in land clearing and tree care. We have a combined 50yrs experience. Would love to help you with your next project.

"Lowcountry All Works is fantastic! I will never use anyone else. I have hired David Jarrell 5 times so far and his company's work is just the best. He gets here immediately to give a quote and work is performed within the week. He came and assessed the down branches that I had from the hurricane and quickly got it set up to mulch them. Saved me numerous trips to the dump. I also asked him for a quote to take down 11 trees and was pleasantly surprised with his the amount. He is the best and his prices are more than fair."

Owner, Ross Harrison, and his wife, Heather, opened Olde Savannah Garden & Produce in Febuary of 2009. After working in the industry for almost 10 years, Ross decided it was time to start out on his own. He has years of experience in managing and running garden centers and outlet stores. He has a wealth of knowledge in sod and turf management.

"I had contacted several companies to give us prices on a patio and a fire pit. I chose Olde Savannah because their price was reasonable and they actually seemed interested in the job. Heather worked with me to design the perfect outdoor patio and fire pit! I was one of those picky customers who made changes throughout the design process, yet Heather remained patient through it all! I had shopped around prior to choosing Olde Savannah. I found their prices to be on the lower side when compared to some of the others; but even more than price, I chose them because they had a great attitude, were professional, and Heather simply had great design ideas which really made for a stunning patio!! So happy I chose them!!"

Mulch and Topsoil questions, answered by experts

Before you put down grass seed, you should cultivate your soil or add two inches of topsoil. You should also put down fertilizer at the same time as your seed to prompt healthy growth. Be sure to water after you put down grass seed, especially for the first two weeks.

If a big freeze catches you by surprise and you don’t have any deicer to hand, you can reduce the chance of taking a tumble by laying gritty, anti-slip materials. Some natural, readily-available options that don’t melt ice but offer traction underfoot include sand, wood shavings, kitty litter, and fireplace ash.

If you are xeriscaping a lawn from scratch, your best bet for preparing the lawn is to work with a xeriscaping specialist in your area. The most common first step to making the transformation, however, will be to remove the turfgrass from your lawn. The subsequent steps will often include amending the soil to support new plants and installing low-drip or drip irrigation systems.

The difference between river rock and landscaping rocks is size, smoothness, and use. River rocks are smooth and flat, as if polished by water, and come in diameters between 1 and 8 inches. Landscape rock can vary in size from small pea gravel installations to car-sized boulders. However, landscaping and river rocks are interchangeable in many situations. River rock is best for pathways, walkways, garden bed mulch, water features, and planting accents, while small landscape rocks can serve as a walkway base, gravel playground areas, and filler between pavers.

The cost of 200 square feet of pea gravel depends on how deep your installation will be. The pea gravel material alone costs between $15 and $75 per cubic yard. You'll need just under two yards to cover 200 square feet to a depth of three inches, for a total cost of between $30 and $150.
