"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

Absolute Perfection installs residential, commercial, and automotive window film, as well as frosted films and vinyl. CEO Bill Valway started this business in a garage in 2001 and it has since grown to three divisions, Applied Graphics and Media, with over 30 employees and is now operating in two states, Maryland and North Carolina. Kevin Pope got his start in the window film industry through his brother in 2013. He took to the role quickly and found himself taking on leadership roles. He had heard of Absolute Perfection and got a chance to meet with Bill and Tim as they were looking to expand the company to a new location. A short time later Bill offered Kevin the opportunity to be the operations manager at our new North Carolina location. We are very excited to have Kevin join our team as we really push to grow the AP brand.

Window security film won’t prevent break-ins or stop your window from shattering from impact during extreme weather like hurricanes or tornadoes. However, applying security film is relatively inexpensive, and it can make breaking into your home significantly harder—often hard enough to deter burglars entirely—and keep your window from shattering on your floor after impact. If your window film doesn’t come with an installation kit and its own application solution, you can make your own—but don’t use soap! Instead, use 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo mixed with a gallon of bottled water. Make sure the bucket in which you mix this solution is completely clean.

Installing tinting on your own home windows is possible, but not recommended. It’s very easy to make mistakes that leave visible bubbles or imperfections in the protective coating. Not only does this look unprofessional and detract from your home’s curb appeal, but it also limits the usefulness of the tint and may still let sunlight and solar heat through your windows. If you attempt the application yourself and mess up, you’ll pay more for the wasted material and the labor to hire a tinting professional to fix the issues.

In many cases, window tinting will boost your home value. If you’re selling your home, especially in a warmer climate, buyers are very likely to see immense value in window tinting, which improves the home’s energy efficiency and helps make the living space more comfortable.
