"Amy Weaver is exceptional at her ability to take a client’s needs, ideas and design dreams and turn them into something better than I could ever have imagined. She is extremely patient and professional. Home Depot is lucky to have her on their team. She even sold us on another flooring project Home Depot quoted, that we weren’t entirely sold on, by explaining their proposal more thoroughly and suggesting solutions to our objections. Amy earned our respect and inspired several future projects with Home Depot. I only hope she will be recognized for going so far above and beyond. Thank you Amy!!"

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"I like their low risk pricing model so used them to help organize my apartment in general. They came ready to work and did a great job in getting the apartment in order. I would recommend them to anyone who has a tough project and likes a good value. As another person noted in a review however, the owner is a bit haunting about payment so have cash ready."

"James can only be described by two words not normally used in the same sentence with the words contractor Honest & intergrity. Not only did he show up on time for the estimate & start date he always communicated with me . He & hisworkers left the jobsite everyday neat & clean. He didn't try to hit me up half way through the job for money infact he saved me money by returning materials & he showed receipts for everything. Yes receipts from a contractor!!! I wouldn't trust my heritage family home to any other contractor now. I am looking forward to the future renovations now because of James. To put it simply HIRE THIS COMPANY."

Closets questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons custom closets are expensive: materials used, the luxury factor, and time to build. The people who can afford custom closets are those who can afford increased rates, and construction workers and contractors know this and charge accordingly. The time to build custom closets is substantial, especially if expensive material is being used or intricate details (like carved wood) are added to the project.

Closet design services include help designing and laying out your closet for maximum utility, visual appeal, and return on investment. Many closet designers can also include the carpentry required to construct your custom closet. You should speak with your designer beforehand to determine what services are included in the estimate, and prepare to lay out additional funds for materials or labor as needed.

Yes, adding a built-in or custom closet generally increases your home's value and makes it more attractive to potential buyers. A well-designed closet adds utility, organization, and a touch of luxury, which are appealing selling points. Most homeowners see a return on investment (ROI) of 50% to 60%; for example, a custom closet can add about $1,000 to your home's value on average. The specific ROI depends on the type, with custom walk-in closets typically providing more value than reach-in closets. However, to maximize value, ensure the closet doesn't significantly detract from the room's usable square footage. Converting an entire room into a closet can actually lower your home's value. Similarly, using overly lavish materials may not recoup their cost. A good strategy is to add a closet that takes square footage from a non-living area, such as a garage, to create a mudroom closet.

Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.

Hanging and folding clothes are efficient ways to pack your clothes during a move. When choosing a packing method, consider the type of clothing you’re packing. For example, clothing such as dresses, suits, blouses, and items made of silk and similar fabrics are ideal for hangers. On the other hand, it’s easier to fold pants, shorts, t-shirts, thick sweaters, and more.
