My names Cayden Shadoan, I’m 23 years old. I have a beautiful wife and daughter. I have a full time job as a pipe welder in Sumter South Carolina. I’m on here just looking to pick up a couple extra jobs here and there in hopes of starting my own business one day to be able to stay home with my family more. I can do pretty much anything that needs done in or around your house. Specializing in building fences or repairing fences, any kind of piping jobs, or any welding. Thank you for considering me to help you get what you need done. Hope to see you soon.

"They showed up on time with a full team, cut the guttering to fit precisely with no seams. They were fast, professional, and completed the job as we discussed it when the representative came out to access the job. I told him to be nice on the additional pricing as I was a disabled Army Ranger living on my disability, which if you are on disability you know is nowhere near what you should get for what you give for your country. I didn't get a price until the job was done. Surfside Beach is a beach town, almost all the houses are on stilts. I could understand the extra price for the extra footage, but they add on an extra $1.50 - $2.00 a foot to the total length of the gutter they put up for anything higher than 20 ft. We'll all the houses are higher than 20 ft. because the houses are on stilts. They should be up front with that fact instead of hiding it in fine print. So I paid over 5 times the discount pricing. I could understand if I lived in the Midwest and they were not set up for beach houses. But they were in and out in under 2 hours, they do stilted houses all the time. They did an excellent job, I personally think they should not add the extra per foot cost due to heights they deal with every day. It feels like a trick to make extra money on there jobs. So quality is absolutely top class but I feel the pricing matrix is somewhat misleading. Just get the full price up front so there are no surprises and they will do a great job on your house."

Roof Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No, you should not pressure wash or power wash roof shingles, including asphalt shingles. The high water pressure from these machines is too strong and can damage the shingles by forcing water underneath, loosening their adhesive, and causing them to fall off. A safer and better alternative is soft washing with a pump sprayer. To ensure the job is done safely without causing damage, it is best to hire a local roof cleaner.

Long-handled telescopic brushes are the best way to clean the outside of a house without a pressure washer. There are even special attachments for cleaning the outside of windows. Use a gentle cleaning solution for both the roof and siding to avoid harming the finishes. Be sure to rinse the area thoroughly with a garden hose after scrubbing.

Roof cleaning can damage shingles if it’s done incorrectly—like with a high-power power washer—but it likely won’t damage your roof if you pay to have an expert do the work. A professional roof cleaner will use a gentle cleaning solution and a cleaning method that matches your roof material to ensure the process doesn’t damage the roof. Some homeowners worry that roof cleaning will shorten the life of their roof by removing shingle particles or protective coatings, but it often extends roof life by removing plants that cause damage and improves your home’s curb appeal simultaneously.

Leaving a significant amount of snow on your roof can be risky. Most roofs are designed to handle about 20 pounds per square foot of snow, but exceeding this limit can lead to a roof collapse. A collapse can cause severe damage to your home and belongings and poses a physical danger to anyone inside. Furthermore, heavy snow accumulation increases the risk of ice dams, which can cause leaks and water damage to your roof, attic, and interior walls.

It may require stronger cleansers or chemicals, higher-pressure spray, or scrubbing to completely remove algae from a metal roof. Start with a mild cleanser; if that doesn’t work and you're comfortable doing so, use a stronger mix of ⅓ cup of laundry detergent, 1 quart of bleach, and 3 quarts of water to gently scrub the algae with a soft-bristled brush. If algae is present across large portions of your roof, doesn’t come off with gentle scrubbing and cleansers, or is in hard-to-reach areas, this may be a job better left to a pro.
