"Rodrigo and his team completely transformed my kitchen. They painted my wooden stained cabinets, walls, trim and ceiling. The cabinets look like new! They are expert painters and pay close attention to detail. I would hire them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services!"

"I am the president of an HOA with 26 townhomes. One of the townhomes was having a leak issue. They came out and figured out where the problem was most likely and fixed it quickly. Our previous stucco repair company wanted to charge a lot more and fix an area that didn't even need fixing."

"We own numerous homes and commercial investments and have dealt with many subcontractors :BNM Painting are the best painters we have ever dealt with. They made repairs to vaulted ceilings that had developed shrinkage cracks over time, and cleaned and repainted everything. Mary has a keen eye for needed repairs and paint methods and Brian is a true craftsman ...very professional . I highly recommend these folks for any painting projects you may have.

"Courtney and workers performed the job flawlessly, quickly scheduling the first visit to estimate costs, providing a prompt and detailed estimate, starting on time, and finishing on time.  They were extremely careful and did excellent work while keeping the area clean and avoiding any damage to adjacent landscaping.  All workers were polite, quiet, and productive.  Each night they stowed their equipment per our agreement in a low-visibility area and cleaned up completely.  The pavers in the herringbone pattern are beautiful and will add to the value of our home.  We highly recommend Courtney Masonry to anyone and shall certainly ask them to do any masonry work we might need in the future.

"They were pretty expensive.  I took them because they repainted my son's house as well as his neighbor's, and they gave me good report.  They stopped advertising because they were expensive.  It was what they told me.  So far I think, they are doing a great job!  They are very accommodating.  If you have concerns, they deal with it right away.  So far, I cannot complain.  When I bring things up, they take care of it.  This company guarantees satisfaction."

"Wonderful experience!! My husband and I were remodeling our master bathroom and needed to remove wallpaper, paint the walls and trim. We also had a few spots that needed to be patched. Michael had great pricing, he showed up early each day, worked hard and the quality of work was excellent!! He is very skilled in his profession. We had a lot of wallpaper and I was shocked that he got all of it off the walls in 3 hours!! He had clean lines with all the paint, made sure the floors and everything else were covered and protected and cleaned up everyday. A true professional! We are so happy with the work Michael did; our bathroom looks like a luxury new bathroom now. I will absolutely be calling on him again for more painting work in the future and will also be referring him to my friends and family. Thank you Michael!!"

"He did an excellent job, very thorough and ensured that wall was sanded to perfection and ready for paint.  He even went way beyond the job to mount a door stop for me to ensure door could not hit the wall again.. I was very pleased with his professionalism and attention to detail in ensuring job was perfect!  Punctual, and appreciated his understanding of timing with other contractors to ensure work completed on schedule.  Highly recommend!!!

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Tools include trowels, floats, and patching compounds. Professionals use these for precise and durable repairs.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

The decision to repair or replace stucco depends on the extent of the damage. For minor issues like small cracks, holes, dirt, stains, or discoloration, a repair is typically sufficient and more cost-effective. These issues can often be resolved with a simple repair, a deep clean, and possibly a new coat of paint. However, for more significant problems such as large cracks, peeling, mold, algae, or structural water damage, a replacement might be necessary. In these cases, it is best to call a professional stucco contractor for an inspection. An expert can assess the severity of the damage, determine if there are deeper issues, and advise whether a repair is adequate or if replacing a section or an entire wall is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

The best exterior paint finish for stucco is a flat or low-gloss finish. A high-gloss finish will show imperfections in the stucco and give it a candy-coated look that many homeowners don’t like. The best types of exterior paint to use on stucco are acrylic, masonry, and elastomeric. However, acrylic is recommended because it is both durable and breathable.
