"Hired this company to do a one-time cleaning but now use them monthly, they did a great job. They charged more for the first cleaning then lowered the cost since I'm doing monthly. I have a 3k sq ft home with 4 bed a d only 2 of the rooms are used... 3 bathroom and only 2 are used. Paid $350 for the first clean and they were here about 7-8 hours. Monthly cost is $220. The girls were awesome 👌"

"Ron was very professional. After having a less than professional experience with another local well known pressure washing company, I was skeptical to call any other company. However Ron did an excellent job, was professional, and well priced."

"I hired them for a one-time fall cleaning project in my home. They were so good I decided to let them clean on a regular basis. House cleaning is more expensive than I would wish, but everyone's is. That's the way it is. They do excellent work."

"These two ladies, Tammy and Amanda were excellent‼️ My house has not looked and smelled this nice in a while. I am 78 years old and unable to keep House the way I once did. I am so grateful for their attention to detail and hard work. I am so grateful for the work they did that I am having them back on a regular basis. I highly recommend the service given by these two ladies.‼️"

"If your looking for a reliable maid service hire Island Maid service. They give you a heads up, arrives on time and gets right down to business. They do a superb cleaning and misses nothing. I have had, in the past, other cleaning services that have much advertising behind them yet failed to live up to it. Island Maid Services, are just the best and the prices are very fair."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can, but you’ll need to acquire the right pressure washer tips and cleaning solutions for the job. In particular, you’ll need tips that are capable of lowering the pressure from a max of 3,500 PSI to between 150 and 300 PSI. As for the cleaning solution, look for options that are clearly marked for soft washing rather than pressure washing.

On average, cleaning a roof will take between two to five hours. This timeline depends on the size and slope of your roof and the severity of any stains. Cleaning roof stains can take additional time, especially if there are signs of moss or algae.

In addition, the age of your roof makes an enormous difference in the time it takes to clean it, as older roofs need more gentle care. If you have significant landscaping in your yard by your house, your professional roof cleaner will need additional time to protect it from cleaning chemicals.

Roof cleaning is typically necessary annually, although homes in moist or heavily polluted areas may require more frequent service to prevent buildup.

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.
