"Hired this company to do a one-time cleaning but now use them monthly, they did a great job. They charged more for the first cleaning then lowered the cost since I'm doing monthly. I have a 3k sq ft home with 4 bed a d only 2 of the rooms are used... 3 bathroom and only 2 are used. Paid $350 for the first clean and they were here about 7-8 hours. Monthly cost is $220. The girls were awesome 👌"

"Ron was very professional. After having a less than professional experience with another local well known pressure washing company, I was skeptical to call any other company. However Ron did an excellent job, was professional, and well priced."

"I hired them for a one-time fall cleaning project in my home. They were so good I decided to let them clean on a regular basis. House cleaning is more expensive than I would wish, but everyone's is. That's the way it is. They do excellent work."

Small jobs welcome

"These two ladies, Tammy and Amanda were excellent‼️ My house has not looked and smelled this nice in a while. I am 78 years old and unable to keep House the way I once did. I am so grateful for their attention to detail and hard work. I am so grateful for the work they did that I am having them back on a regular basis. I highly recommend the service given by these two ladies.‼️"

"If your looking for a reliable maid service hire Island Maid service. They give you a heads up, arrives on time and gets right down to business. They do a superb cleaning and misses nothing. I have had, in the past, other cleaning services that have much advertising behind them yet failed to live up to it. Island Maid Services, are just the best and the prices are very fair."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

Clearing snow from your roof can be a tedious and time-consuming job. Even so, it is extremely important to maintain your roof during the winter months. You can help prevent ice dams and avoid roof collapse.

As a side note, rather than shoveling your roof, you should always use a roof rake to modify the job. Otherwise, call in a professional.

In most cases, it is best to leave icicles on your roof and allow them to melt naturally. You should only remove them if they are heavy enough to cause damage to your home or pose a safety risk to people below. Attempting to remove icicles yourself can be dangerous, so if you are concerned about immediate damage, it is recommended to hire a professional. To prevent icicles from recurring, you should address the underlying cause, which is often poor insulation. Long-term solutions include improving your home's insulation or installing roof heating coils.

For the best chemicals to clean a metal roof, stick to gentle detergents such as dish soap, laundry detergent, or car-wash soap mixed in a diluted solution of ¼ cup of soap to 1 gallon of water. These mild cleansers are safe for most roof finishes but are still strong enough to remove remaining dirt particles. Chemicals like bleach or acids can damage your roof, poison landscaping and grass, and pose a hazard to you and your family. If your roof is very dirty or you think it requires chemical cleaning, call a roof cleaning professional.

To prolong the lifespan of a slate roof, perform regular maintenance. This includes conducting annual inspections to check for damaged or broken tiles and addressing any minor issues promptly. Clean the gutters regularly, remove any overhanging tree branches, and ensure the flashing remains intact to prevent leaks. For comprehensive care, consider scheduling periodic professional inspections.
