"Very Professional service! Mr Hoover is not your every day Insulation Installer, he is an Energy Performance Auditor. He makes sure the air in your Attic is conditioned and that your Ceiling is completely sealed before blowing in 20" of Insulation. If you need Insulation for your House this is the company to hire. I highly recommend them and will be doing a follow up review in a month comparing my Energy Savings!"

"Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels."

The homes throughout the United States are the single largest energy consumer in the world. Over sixty-five percent of U.S. homes are currently under-insulated, not insulated, or leaking an excessive amount of air and energy. Due to the air your home leaks every hour, over two-thirds of the oil or gas you purchase goes towards heating your backyard. Let us show you how to save money every minute of the day!

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

There are a few ways to reduce your electricity bills if you use window AC units to keep cool. Set the unit temperature at least 1 degree higher than it is currently to reduce costs. Keep the unit clean for it to run efficiently. You may want to hire a window AC specialist near you to inspect the unit once a year and keep it in tip-top shape.

Thankfully, LED lights use less electricity than incandescent lights, meaning you won’t spend as much on utility bills by using these light strips. Each 5-meter LED light strip will cost about $3 per year on your energy bill.

You can increase your home’s load factor by replacing fuse boxes with a circuit breaker, hiring a licensed electrician to upgrade your electrical panel, upgrading wiring, or installing subpanels. An electrical inspection by an expert can help determine the state of your current electrical systems and how they can be improved.

Replacing a window frame will improve your home’s energy efficiency if the old frame is cracked or damaged in a way that allows unconditioned air from the outside into your living space or if you upgrade to a more energy-efficient window frame material. Aluminum is the least energy-efficient window frame material, followed by vinyl and wood. Fiberglass and composite frames are the most energy-efficient.

To find a reputable home energy auditor, start by researching local companies that offer the service and check their reviews, methods, and certifications. The most reputable professionals are often Home Energy Professional (HEP)-certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). You can also consult the Department of Energy’s certified list of energy auditors or use a state licensing tool to review local guidelines and ensure you are hiring a certified professional for your area.
