Abraham’s son, Eric, was one of the few survivors of the camps in Poland and Germany during WWII. Upon his liberation, he left Europe for New York, and finally settled in Boston, MA. After spending some time working as a furniture restorer for the antique dealers on Beacon Street, he opened his own business. Using the expertise he learned from his father back in Germany, he quickly became renowned for his uncanny ability to restore almost any kind of art object. Today, Trefler’s is still owned and operated by the Trefler family. We expertly mix century-old techniques with modern restoration technology to create some of the best repairs in the world. Specializing in apartment size furniture.

"I contacted them through the internet and they were very responsive. I got an estimate online w a picture I emailed (great!). I dropped off the chair and said I could wait. 3 weeks later I checked in. Not done but maybe another 1-2 weeks. It was done in time for Super Bowl (yay!). Price was decent. What I didn’t like was the glue on the arm of the chair. That’s my main reason for being unsure about using them again. The time to repair was ok and they were all pleasant to work w."
