"Joe from JMS Drain Services was my service technician who arrived well within the window scheduled service time. Joe came in, inspected the sink to determine how to resolve my issue, took out the tool (snake apparatus) to clear the sink, and departed my premises within 15 minutes. I was pleased he resolved my clogged sink so quickly so I could rest after a night's work. Thank you again, Joe."

"Curt Lansberry was amazing. He came out right away (on a holiday) to check out the job and give me a quote. He was able to get it done by my deadline and the work was fantastic. He installed flooring in three rooms of my cabin. I plan to hire him to do more work again soon! Don’t hesitate to call him. He is easy to get ahold of and very responsive. The price was reasonable also."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

The cost varies from $200 to $1,500, depending on whether it’s a basic replacement, repair, or a full sink and plumbing upgrade.

The best material to use will depend on your budget and style goals. Fireclay is a great choice but is expensive and heavy. Stainless steel is less expensive and more durable, but lacks the wow factor a clay sink might. Copper is very expensive but lasts a long time and has a striking appearance. Those looking for an industrial look can go with concrete, or those looking for a classic design might choose porcelain.

The biggest sign that your flange leaks is if you notice water at the base of the toilet. The cause is likely due to a poor flange installation, so you might have issues with loose bolts, an uneven flange, or a cracked plastic flange. Add a deteriorating wax seal to this, and you have a recipe for disaster. The best solution is to shut off the water valve, replace the toilet flange, and seal it with a new wax ring.

Depending on the issue, you have a good shot at fixing a leaking sink yourself. If you have some plumbing experience or are comfortable with DIY jobs, you can clean the P trap, tighten nuts, replace washers, and replace shut-off valve stems on your own. For more complicated jobs, such as repairing a garbage disposal, calling a pro may be the way to go.

Yes, a dripping faucet can increase your water bill. Leaking faucets use up more water than you’d think. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, a faucet that drips once per second can waste more than 3,000 gallons of water per year. If you have more than one dripping faucet, your water bill can increase even further.
