"I hired EK Painting to paint the whole interior of my house (walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and stair railing). The quote I received from EK to do the work was very reasonable. I canâ t say enough about the great job they did with painting my home. The team was on time every morning. They were friendly and courteous, extremely careful, trustworthy, quiet, and always cleaned up after a day of painting. Working with Kelly, the team leader, was easy. He informed me daily as to the painting schedule and he was flexible with me making changes. If you are looking to have the interior of your home painted, I highly recommend EK painting. They did an excellent job! Thank you, EK Painting!"

"Dan and his son did a great job repairing a damaged plaster wall. The wall looks new! They also removed a wall/window AC unit and installed window, complete with beautiful new trim around the window. They had to remove siding and cut through the exterior wall of the house to enlarge the opening for the new window. The finished job looks beautiful."

"D&BC Painting is one of the best companies I've hired to do my painting jobs, Dennis does an excellent work, very skillful and professional. Recently they just finished one of my kitchen's cabinets and the outcome was extremely delightful. The white color was like if it was the first original paint on the cabinets. Very impressed!!!"

"CIR with Jonathan did an amazing job from the initial consultation to the finished project. Jonathan was able to revitalize some of our existing (47 yr. old) and combine not only new, but custom one of a kind renovations and keep us in budget. With any custom build job issues arise, and Jonathan was quick with alternate solutions, and we did not incur additional cost. If you have seen any of the fixer up shows on TV and say yeh right, please go to CIR website/Facebook and look at our pictures (look for the PINK sinks). His staff our professional and courteous. We look forward to future projects."

"Very well. I had doors that were not properly installed by big box store, despite asking their so-called contractor to come back to fix properly several times. 24/7 Handyman took the time to fix them properly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Small amounts of wallpaper can be thrown away in your household trash. If you’re removing a whole home’s worth of wallpaper, you may need to contact a waste removal company, rent a dumpster, or schedule a special pick-up with your municipality’s waste removal service. Wallpaper isn’t recyclable, so no matter which method you choose to dispose of it, make sure it doesn’t get mixed in with the recycling.

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

Because poison ivy and similar plants can cause potentially life-threatening allergic reactions depending on your sensitivity, it's best to hire a professional to remove it. Hiring a local lawn care service or other professional also increases your chances of successful eradication so that you don't have to deal with the issue again several months down the road.

Once again, contact with moisture is the culprit here, though water-resistant varieties of wallpaper are less likely to become wet and develop mold. Using a high-quality exhaust fan or dehumidifier and leaving the doors or windows cracked after bathing will keep this issue at bay.

Yes, you can pay someone to strip wallpaper. Before you hang new wallpaper, you should hire a local wallpaper removal service to prep the surface properly. Wallpaper removal pros cost $0.55 to $1.50 per square foot or $500 to $700 per room. Prices vary by room size and removal technique, as some options are more labor-intensive.
