"This is a follow up review. It is not very often that a small business owner takes customer satisfaction as seriously as Drew and Jessica. When we had some issues with the older less reliable lighting programing software, Drew upgraded us at the cost of the new hardware and did not charge us a cent for the labor involved. The new Lutron system has been exceptional and it is helping us both, Envision and my budget, save money since it is rock solid. Envison Outdoor Lighting understands what real customer satisfaction means and I totally, unequivocally, recommend them for ANY installation in Central NJ and Eastern PA !!!. They are trustworthy, fair and honest and represent all that can be right with small business entrepreneurs in the U.S. in 2025!

"A+ Landscaping did an absolutely outstanding job designing and constructing a new patio for us. When originally built, our house had a 10'x12' concrete pad that was not very functional. We wanted a new and larger patio that would be conducive to outdoor entertaining and also be very attractive, while also complying with local stormwater management ordinances. Marcus came out to our house, sketched out a design, and gave us some great ideas. When completed, the patio was about 450 square feet, with Techo Bloc permeable pavers, sitting walls, pillars, and and low voltage lights on a timer. ([*** Link removed ***] This was not an easy project, as the local Township stormwater management regulations required careful planning, extensive excavation, and an infiltration bed to be installed underneath the patio. In addition to the patio, A+ Landscaping also installed some river rock in an area where grass doesn't grow well, three large stepping stones, new mulch beds and plantings along one side of the patio as well as along one side of the house, and also installed three pop-up rain spouts in the yard. They started the project when promised and worked straight through until completed four days later. They also reseeded areas that were excavated. I am biased, but I believe we have the nicest patio of the more than eighty homes in our community! We spent about $17,000 for everything, but that included the patio and landscaping work. It was well worth the investment."
"Miguel Amaya did work on my neighbors driveway and so we inquired about doing a patio in our yard. Miguel came over gave a quote and completion time-line. He was friendly professional and extremely sincere. Its hard to find good contractors I always look for integrity, honesty, professionalism and quality. Miguel possesed all 4 qualities so we decided to go with the patio. We discussed design and paver color combination. Miguel assured me the As the project started we decided to add benches and some landscaping on the side of the house and behind the patio. Miguel and his crew were all very polite kind and thorough. The workmanship is incredible and Miguel takes pride in his work so every aspect is checked. The project came out better than I expected and I am beyond pleased. We now have an additional living space where we can entertain and host gatherings I am extremely satisfied with the patio. Its absolutely beautiful. We are going to do more work with Amaya Construction and Miguel in the near future. I HIGHLY recommend Miguel."
"This is the second time in a few months we have used Anthony's services. He was very responsive to my messages on Saturday and arrived Monday for our appt. He quickly found a loose connection in the light portion of the ceiling fan instead of having to replace the entire thing. He also quickly found the faulty switch and loose wiring for our hall lights and suggested replacing a second at only the cost of the switch since he was already there. The first time we used Anthony he replaced a ceiling fan in a high ceiling bedroom but assured us the other old one was working just had to be tightened but we wanted to change things anyway. He was very polite, prompt and cleaned up his mess. I would definitely recommend him and will always call him first for electrical issues! "
"The previous fan was closed off to prevent cold air entering the bathroom. The new fan was installed in the ceiling and has a light. Everything was better than I expected. He arrived on time, brought everything he needed with him, was courteous (even with our cat), kept us informed of every step, and cleaned all areas."
"Anthony and his team have been awesome. We found them on Angie's List this past fall and haven't looked back. First we had them help with leaf clean-up and some fall pruning and plantings. During that project we talked about holiday decorating and Anthony was great about helping plan. He and his crew tackled the job enthusiastically and pulled off a lighting array we could never have done ourselves. To their credit, they worked some long hours in some very inclement weather - they were determined to get us ready for the holiday in advance of their committed date. When's the last time any contractor got done early?!! These guys did! So you can understand that when we needed help with all the snow this winter, Anthony was our go-to guy. While we chose to manage a few snow falls ourselves, Anthony did the heavy lifting and was always available when we really needed him. During one of our many overnight snowfalls, my wife woke up in the morning, looked out the window, and told me...hey there must have been elves here, your sidewalks and driveway are all clear. These guys are just awesome. One of the things I like best is the great communications - we never wonder what's happening because we're kept well informed. We're looking forward to having their help this Spring. We're planning some work we've been putting off for years because we've found THE right contractor for us! And if you live in the NorthEast, you know Spring can't get here soon enough... Thanks Creative Lawn Care and Landscaping! "
"I hired SW Landscapes to clean a second story gutter. They were prompt in scheduling an estimate and then the job, completed the job in a professional manner, and charged a fair price. It was a small job but everything went smoothly nonetheless."
"His crew delivered several arborvitaes trees that were bare at the bottom with broken limbs. I was told that the trees would put out new growth and this has yet to happen. In addition, the trees were not evenly spaced. John never returned to the site (physically) to see the final landscaped area. Why would you not want to see your work? His responsiveness after getting paid was awful. I would never hire him again... I'm only asking for what I paid for... full healthy trees! At this point, a refund on these trees would be nice but I'm sure that will never happen although it would be the right thing for him to do.. See the picture below of the 10-12 ft arbs that were delivered. Would you want these? PS..I sent John pictures of these trees and have yet to receive a response...."
"Michael and crew were on time and were prepared from the start!! They lit up my entire driveway/walkway, as it was very dark before and we needed lighting. Michael recommended the new LED light fixtures, which turned out AmAzing!! I would recommend MC Electrical to anyone and we will be using them in the future!! Thanks again Michael and crew!!"
The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.
Common outdoor lighting issues include faulty or exposed wiring, burnt-out or damaged bulbs, and broken or faulty fixtures. Regular maintenance can help prevent many of these problems.
While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.
While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.
Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.
Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.
