Josh thoroughly examined the interior and exterior of the home and determined that the leak might be plumbing related. Josh could have very easily exploited our ignorance and suggested a solution purely beneficial to his company that may not have addressed the underlying cause of the problem. Instead, he demonstrated his integrity by realistically assessing the situation even if it would jeopardize the sale. This is commendable particularly in this era where cutthroat business practices are commonplace. I highly recommend Basement Gurus. They are fortunate to have an employee like Josh who exhibits concern for the customer at such a high level. "

He was very detailed on what he did and took pictures of what he did. "Hunter Berkey is a very reliable, personable and professional young man. He came when he said he would, communicated with me throughout the project, and worked very hard. He was literally at our house from 7 am to 8 pm several days of the project (one night I had to turn on outside lights so he could see to finish up), and I later learned he then had an hour's drive home! We worked together to design a beautiful stamped concrete resurfacing of old, stained concrete around our pool. Please see the photo attached for the finished project (It actually looks better in person--more glossy!). I would definitely use him again for any masonry work."

"job was done in a timely manner, however was not done in a professional workman like manner, Which the contract states it would be done. When the estimator came he explained what would be done to eliminate water issue. When we asked how does water get removed outside and how they would undermine stairs and walls he simple stated the installers will go over that with you when they come. The installers said they would be channeling under the step and walls, which are only 2 1/2 inch walls. The last step was also a simple channel as well. More time consuming perhaps, when you charge $3000.00 more than another contractor, homeowners are believing they are getting a professional job! They cut her stair runner instead of peeling it back so it could be glued back down. she needs replace whole runner now and company could care less including there estimator! sheetrock replacement also more expensive because took a hammer to the walls instead of saw zall,nice straight lines! also have photos."
