ONeil Bros. is composed of two members of whom are brothers. Also we both specialize in home energy solutions (insulation) Types of insulation we can install: blow in cellulose, fiber glass batts, blanket wraps, radiant barriers, and mineral wool. We also do crawl space clean-outs,vapor barriers, and basement wall wraps. Feel free to contact us no matter what the job. Because if we can do it, we will do it.

"This company ended up canceling our contract because our driveway was too difficult to plow. They plowed two times and on the third snowfall they never showed up and didn't call. They are expensive and the phone representative was rude and argumentative."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

Ideally, your concrete should set slightly above ground at an angle sloping away from the fence post. This will add extra support and allow water to run away from the wood fence post. Keeping water out will help prevent wood rot. Additionally, you can add soil on top of the concrete for a seamless finish.

There are different types of pet fencing available to keep your furry family member safe:

  • Chain link fencing is an affordable but not visually appealing option.

  • Vinyl panel fencing is less easily damaged than wood.

  • Wood fencing is customizable but requires regular maintenance.

  • Metal iron fencing provides a sleek look but doesn’t block your pet’s view.

  • Electric fencing eliminates the need for a traditional fence, but it could be painful to your pet.

  • Picket fencing adds to your curb appeal but won’t contain most pets.

  • Brick or stone fencing stops pets from digging out of the yard but costs more.

Posts for a horizontal fence should be no more than 6 feet apart. Wood pickets are not as strong when mounted horizontally as when mounted vertically. As such, the fence panels on a horizontal fence can’t cover the same span between posts as a vertical fence can. If you install the posts further apart on a horizontal fence, the fence will lose stability, making the boards more likely to sag.

Vegetable gardens can easily become a convenient food bank for your local animal population, whether it’s squirrels stealing fruit or rabbits munching on freshly grown veggies. If you want to keep those critters out, it helps to put a fence around your vegetable garden that’s at least a couple of feet tall to deter any animals from getting past it. Just make sure your fence doesn’t interrupt the amount of sunlight your garden needs to thrive.

A board on board fence is a type of privacy fence that uses overlapping vertical boards to keep onlookers from seeing into the fenced yard. Typically made of wood, board on board fences are more expensive than other privacy fences because they use more materials and require more complex construction.
